CHAPTER TWO

BAILEY

It's Friday and the day seems to be dragging. I'm sitting by the window in class totally ignoring the teacher.

God I hate Chemistry.

"Ouch!" I screech as James smirk at me like a weirdo after he just pinched my arm. So its only natural that I punch him.

"Hey no fair!"

I'm laughing uncontrollably as his rubbing his arm.

What a pussy.

"Miss Andrews, May I ask what is so funny for you to be interrupting the lesson?" What is wrong with this teacher! He really does enjoy picking at me. Then again this time it was my fault but still! Every year, every lesson, every second. If it's not a look of disgust, then its plainly just ruining my vibe.

I take my vibe very seriously, as you will learn to know.

"I'm not interrupting your lesson, that's what you're doing. You're stopping the whole class due to my laughter, but people seem unfazed by it. So what's up?" I said sternly. Crossing my arms with victory and a cheeky smirk. I know I'm going to be in the shit for this, but one score for me.

Nil for Mr Brenson.

Without even looking around I can hear gasps and feel amused eyes on me. I'm usually controlled in his lessons, but today he just had to piss me off didn't he. I can see fury in his eyes and I'm sure there is smoke coming out of his ears.

God I'm so close to laughing in his face, but I keep my cool and look only in his eyes. Before he even opened his mouth, I grabbed my things and left to the principal's office.

"Oh, Bailey what are you doing here? Wait...I thought this year you'd keep your cool," Sophie, recognised as the principals secretary but known as Mrs Lester, says with a confused expression.

I tell her what happened and not surprised to see her laughing hard which makes me laugh. We both jump when we hear someone clear their throat.

"Bailey in. Now!" Principal Matthews says with a stern voice. He locks the door then looks at me, "Why the fuck did you piss off Brenson again?!" I start giggling.

"Listen, he pissed ME off first. And come on Luke! Don't be mad. I promise I'll behave," I argue back using my puppy dog eyes.

Luke is the principal but also my older cousin. He is about twenty-eight, married and with a good job in this prestigious school. My parents tell me to look up to him, but they don't know the real him which makes me laugh.

He loves to have fun and acting like a massive child when he isn't so serious at work. Luke and his wife are honestly the best, I love being with them and they are like my best friends.

I tell him everything that happened in the classroom and we both have a laughing fit then had a catchup about life.

He invites me to come over tonight after I told him my parents are gone again, for three months this time. This isn't the longest by the way, they tend to leave a note and a credit card so I don't have to spend my own allowance.

It's now the end of the day and I'm heading to the car with Melanie and Ophelia.

We are just talking about tonight and the party. I drop them off and head over to my place to get changed real quick then head over to Lukes, in the Mustang. Starting my Spotify, I select my Lady Gaga playlist.

"I LIVE FOR THE APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE APPLAUSE !"

I make it to Luke's, our whole family is wealthy so his home is very nice but not too expressive. Knocking on the door, I don't even blink before I am engulfed in a tight hug. I SWEAR I DIDN'T EVEN SEE THE DOOR OPEN!
