#𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗪𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 & 𝗖𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗦; 𝗛𝗬𝗨𝗡𝗟𝗜𝗫 (hiatus)

a 12-year-old hyunjin sat on the ledge of the observatory tower, having snuck out of his chambers much too early in the morning to watch the stars. adjusting the telescope, he patted the stones next to him, searching for his constellation map.

"looking for this?"

"jesus christ!" hyunjin screamed, clutching into his chest. he had to stabilize himself for a second before whipping his head around to glare at the cheeky brunette. "you imbecile! why would you even try to be here at this time?"

felix shrugged, pushing himself up and throwing his legs over the ledge to mirror hyunjin. "i could ask you the exact same thing jin."

"i just wanted to look at the stars. my astronomy tutor left me this constellation map and i found that i actually missed doing this for some reason so i came up."

felix hummed and pulled the telescope closer and looked into it. "why don't you just try to look at the stars without using the materials from your class?"

"because i want to find the constellations and read about them since each one has a different story that goes with it."

"huh. sounds like fun."

the two faded into silence as hyunjin peered over his side to stare at the map, grabbing his pencil to jot down some notes. pointing at a specific shape connected by rough pencil lines, hyunjin explained it to felix.

"for example, this is orion. in greek mythology it says that he was a hunter who wanted to kill all the animals on earth. so artemis sent a scorpion to sting and kill him. they were both sent up to the sky but on opposite sides so that whenever the scorpion rises, orion sets to run away from it."

felix hummed, squinting slightly to look at the map better. "that's pretty cool."

"yeah."

hyunjin continued to look at the sky through his telescope and felix looked up at him. the light from the nighttime sky hit hyunjin's face in the most enchanting way and the younger prince was enraptured. he extended a hand to tuck a strand of hyunjin's blonde hair that fell out of his ponytail behind his ear earning him a soft but genuine smile.

"thank you lix."
