Nightmares passive form cause chaos

Meet again...

This time instead of getting more food, since they still have enough for over two months, he decided to take a walk in his passive form.

Not the smartest idea, he knows. Especially since dream now knows a bit about his passive form but he needed a break from his chaotic group.

Yes he knows he usually loves it and all but right now he just wanted a break.

So that's why he was taking a walk.

Though he is at least certain he won't be meeting dream in this au, it is..full of negativity after all. Or at least that's what he hopes. He knows dream sometimes can't stand negativity that doesn't come from nightmare himself. So dream sometimes avoids certain aus. That's what he was mostly counting on.

What he didn't account for was the sans of this au, the sans was mostly hiding behind a tree, taking a quick photo and sending it over to the group chat that they had with ink and the others.

Dream responded almost immediately, "where?" "In my au, underfell." The sans responded. "Thanks, I'll be there soon." Dream said and the sans continued to follow nightmare, not that he knew that was nightmare.

So nightmare didn't even realize that dream was notified about him being in that au. So he just continued on walking in the woods, blissfully unaware of dream coming.

That was until he felt dream, nightmare hid a frown, he knew he was being followed but had decided to ignore it since the intent wasn't malicious at all...he is somewhat starting to regret that now though.

Clearly he hadn't chosen the right choice after all. He thought and continued to walk as if he was still unaware that dream was now in this au. He hopes if he ignores it long enough, that dream would go away.

Clearly that wasn't going to be happening anytime soon.

He thought as dream popped out in front of him, he flinched back, acting startled. "Oh it's uh you again. What are you doing here?" Nightmare questioned him.

"Ah I didn't expect to see you here! Though now that we met again, can we exchange our names? I never told you mine and I never got yours." Dream said acting a bit surprised to see him as if he didn't expect nightmare to be here.

Nightmare knew better though, he now knows that dream probably got every sans and papyrus's to help find him in the aus now. He's got to be more careful now, he thought.

He also needs to chose a new name for right now.

"Oh..ok..so what's your name then?" Nightmare questioned, giving himself extra time to think of a nickname.

He decided on one before dream started talking.

""I'm dream! And you are?" Dream said blinking at him.

"Hello dream, I'm nightlife." Nightmare said using that name he knew no one else used, nor even his aus of himself.

He felt relieved that he came up with that on the spot and that he knew no one else uses that.

Dream blinked, nightlife? What an interesting name to have. He wonders about his other counterpart name..that's is if nightlife has a brother..

"Hello nightlife. So how have you been?" Dream asked, wanting to know more about 'nightlife'.

Nightmare aka nightlife right now, blinked. "Ah I'm doing well, thank you for asking Dream." Nightlife said.

Dream nodded at that. "That's good..say..nightlife?" Dream started out.

Nightlife tilted his head, awe adorable dream thought.

"Yes dream?" Nightlife said. "Do you think we can exchange phone numbers? So we can talk more again and maybe meet up to hang out?" Dream asked feeling nervous all of a sudden.

Nightlife blinked at that, huh.. he wasn't expecting that but then again he probably should have since this is his brother he is talking about and all. He thought and made sure to look thoughtful before answering Dream.

"Sure dream, here let me borrow your phone real quick, I'll add my number to your phone." Nightlife said getting into his act.

Dream looked delighted at that and handed over his phone.

Nightlife knew that one day dream will find out and know but for right now..he allowed a smile on his face. He knows he can use the time to be happy with his brother..just this once..he will allow it until Dream knows.. he did miss his brother after all but couldn't really stay..unless dream and ink stops tilting the balance by accident. He knows that they don't know, but that's alright. He's mostly happy to know dreams happy.

At least for now..he does check on Dream every now and then but made sure Dream doesn't know or notice anything. He may pretend to hate dream but.. he adores his brother, he really does but the balance also comes first..but he would always put his brother first, even before the balance on his side.

Though he always made sure to keep the balance in check so it never came down to him having to chose between the balance and Dream. He's thankful about that at the very least. He thought as he put in his number and his current nickname.

"There you go Dream. Text me and tell me who you are so I can add you to my phone and not ignore you." Nightlife said and Dream still looking delighted, nodded at that.

"Ok nightm-life!" Dream said almost slipping up and had it been anyone else, they wouldn't have noticed.

But nightlife did notice that dream almost called him nightmare, he narrowed his eyes a little. Thinking now.. did dream notice? Does dream know that he's nightmare and not who he says he is and his act? If so..he needs to be more careful..he thought.

But he's still willing to risk it..he just wants to be able to talk to his brother without each other trying to kill or harm the other...

But He doesn't know if dream really has noticed it or if it's because the names are similar enough that he almost said nightmare instead. He will need to find out later..he thought and then they went on their separate ways for now and nightlife went to bed to think.
