Dreams

It was a snowy day, and I was bored. I needed a good show to watch, so flipped through Disney+ until I finally gave in and opened the Star Wars tab. The Clone Wars was the first show to pop up, so I looked through to find a good arc to re-watch. I finally came across the Ahsoka Framed arc, and decided on it. It'd been too long since I last had last watched it, or had a good crying session anyways. The familiar fanfare opened up, along with Admiral Yularen's familiar voice as he narrated the situation:

Invasion! The planet Cato Neimoidia is under Separatist attack. Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, rush to the rescue as they lead a squadron of starfighters to the planet below....

As I watched as they flew through the sky, Anakin struggling with buzz droids before finally going unconscious. Ahsoka pulled Anakin from his fighter, and I began to become incredibly sleepy, which was odd because it wasn't that late and exciting shows usually kept me up. As sleep pulled me in, I saw Ahsoka also seemingly drift off to sleep in Anakin's lap onscreen as R2-D2 came up from the ledge, which was definitely not a normal part of the episode. I must just be super sleepy.

----------

I awoke to the sound of helicopters, gunfire, and a lot of commotion. As I looked down, my hands were now orange? And I had blue stripy things resting on my shoulders? I finally took in my surroundings and recognized it as the same as in the Clone Wars episode I had been watching, and finally recognized myself as now being Ahsoka. Those were LAATs I was hearing! What an epic dream this would be! I reached down to my hips to find her twin lightsabers, and reached up to find her montrals attached to my head. Nice.

"Ahsoka? What'd I miss?" I heard a voice accompanied groaning coming from behind me. Crap, I forgot about Anakin. I turned around to face him, remembering her next line.

"Oh, not much."

"Wait, wasn't I flying? Where's my fighter? How did I get here?"

I smirked, playing along. "Fighter crashed. I saved the day. You're welcome."

He scoffed, a smile on his face. "All right."

I turned around to see if R2 was alright, and I heard Anakin calling Captain Rex for a ride.

I suddenly heard some beeping, and looked to see a light going off on Anakin's wrist. He pushed a putton. A hologram of Master Yoda popped up.

"Skywalker, return to the temple quickly, you should." the familiar voice came through. "You and your Padawan."

"We're kind of busy Master Yoda,"

"The reason we need you, important it is, Skywalker. Bombed the temple hangar, someone has."

I looked at the hologram fearfully, remembering how terribly this all went for Ahsoka. Anakin scowled.

"Your assistance to find the terrorist, we need."

"We'll be right there master." he closed the transmission.

"Wait, do I have to come?" My heart was pounding in my chest. I knew what happened next, how the story tragically played out as a terrible mishap of wrong place, wrong time.

"Well of course, he called for you specifically." He studied my face, and saw the pure dread and fear in my eyes. "I'm sure it will be alright Snips." He briefly put his flesh hand on my shoulder.

----

I held my arms across my stomach, looking down at the floor of the Twilight. I was ecstatic to be in this galaxy, but not in this episode, especially as Ahsoka, even if she was my favorite character. Why did my dreams always have to be such hideous things? I guess I will have to wait it out.

"Entering hyperspace...Now." Anakin announced to nobody in particular. "Hey, Ahsoka. Talk to me. I can tell you are not okay. I have never felt you this afraid, ever."

This had to be a weird dream. How does he know? Is it real, or part of the dream? I played along. "I'm just scared about the outcome of the bombing. What if they accuse the wrong person? What if they accuse me?"

"How could you have done it? You were with me on Cato Neimoidia the whole time. You're just overthinking. You and I both know that there are thousands of Jedi there at any given time. They'd take down an attacker in no time, or at least have sensed them by now."

"Yeah, I know. I just think we are all loosing faith in the Council."

Anakin was taken aback by what I had said. Well, that was definitely not Ahsoka-like of me to say. His eyes were wide and eyebrows raised. "Ahsoka!" he scolded. "I know that they make mistakes from time to time, but that is a bit harsh of you to say."

"Well not the whole council! I mean.. I completely trust Master Plo, Master Yoda, and of course Master Kenobi." I quickly said, trying to make up for opening this awkward can of worms.

He sighed, and was quiet for a moment. "Its alright to be scared." he softly said.

I was still tired, and it would be a while before we got to Coruscant, so I decided to take a nap, and try to end this odd nightmare.

------

"Hey," I heard a voice call.

"Ah no wanna g'dup."

"Come on, we're here."

I groaned. "I had a terrible dream... I was in the worst episode of my favorite show....." I said before I opened my eyes.

"What is that?"

"Star Wars. Why ya sound like Anakin?"

"That's because I am silly. But I've never heard of that show." at this, I immediately woke up to find myself in the Twilight. I looked to my left to find Anakin himself beckoning for me to get up from my chair. So it wasn't a dream after all!

"We've got our own war to win yet, don't need to be worried with someone else's. Come on," He said as he walked out of the cabin. I looked down to find myself still as Ahsoka, and suddenly remembered where we were and why, and I suddenly got an idea. I couldn't wait to face the council.

As we walked into the temple, I was in awe at just how huge it was. In the movies you just don't get to see that. Though it had a very bland color scheme of browns and oranges, there were many ornate details, like carvings on the support poles, and magnificent statues of the Jedi that came before. I looked up to see the high ceilings had beautiful murals depicting battles.

Anakin noticed my awe. "Just now looking up?" he asked, amused.

"Yeah, I never noticed the murals." As I continued to look around, he shook his head dismissively, smiling. There were so many other Jedi wandering the halls, and so much going on. The whole building was filled with peace, although you didn't have to be force sensitive to feel the dark cloud hanging over, like a storm waiting to become a hurricane. I wanted to be back to my normal life before that happened.
