This town is really nice. Everyone is so over the top friendly I wonder if there is something in the water. In Austin, they are friendly to an extent. But nothing like this. I can see varying sups wandering around town and in shops, right along with humans. The humans don't even realize they are talking to a Sup, it is the wildest thing I have ever seen. I mean in Austin we try everything we can to avoid humans. Shifters, Witches, and a few others have it far easier than say, a fairy. Anything that cannot look human has a hard time. But here they let it all hang out.

I stop by a shoe store where there is an honest to God Angel. I have to take a double look. She has pure white wings and she obviously likes pink. I decide to go inside just so I can get a look at what she has. Pink is what I see, there are a few other pastels though..

"Hello," she greets me, "Can I help you with anything, would you like to try anything on?"

"No Ma'am," I tell her, "I am just looking. I'm afraid that I do not have enough money to buy your amazing shoes." and they were amazing.

"Oh, I'm sorry." she looks me up and down, "Wait right here please." I hear a crash and something falling. She comes back with a few ruffled feathers and her hair a mess. "Oops, I hate it when that happens," she says.

Her the are last seasons. You should be able to wear them." she says as she hands me a pair of shoes."

"I don't want any handouts ma'am," I tell her.

She scrunches her nose and says, "Nonsense, take them and pay me back if it bothers you that much but I can see by the holes in your shoes that you really need them."

"Ok, how much will I owe you?" I ask because man I should get a notebook and start writing this stuff down. I really don't want to beholden to anyone at all.

"I'll let you know when you come to pay me. No sense in getting into it now."

"Ma'am," I start to say when she shushes me.

"My name is Ruby, and yes you can take the shoes. I insist." then she pushes me out the door.

I look back through the window two men are, uh.. oh my kissing her and ..oh wow.. then her wings spread out. I did not know that the Angels went there. Now someone needs to wash my eyes out because I really just can't unsee that.

Looking at my well-worn ratty shoes I couldn't help but put them on. Man do they feel good. Like walking on clouds. They are pink of course, but I can die them later if need be.

I see a tattoo shop and make a point of remembering where it is for later. I sure hope the pay is good at that resort. There is also a bakery that smells heavenly as I pass by, a hex shop, (I wonder what the humans see it as). Oh, there's is a jewelry shop. I have to stay away from that shop. Even though I do not believe in stealing. Maggie has no such morals. If it is shiny she will take it. She will pilfer the diamond right out of its setting, off the neck of a Queen. I don't know how many times I have been accused of stealing. Most of the times Maggie really is innocent, however, there are a few times, lets just say I get arrested a lot.

I walk by a pizza shop and it smells so good, I realize that I am really hungry since that snake and mouse stole my sandwich. I ask someone in the Pizza shop if I could borrow a phone and called my ride. Once I arrange my ride they tell me how long it's going to be and to meet them at the park.

I pass by that jewelry shop again and the most beautiful princess cut pink diamond that looks to be at least 8 karats with round faceted rubies surrounding it on a white gold setting and chain is sitting in the window. Yes, I know my gems and no it has nothing to do with my thieving Magpie. Maggie's feathers are ruffled and she wants out really bad. The shop keeper took one look at me and made a shooing motion with his hands. Well, I guess not everyone could be nice. Jewelers were always stuffy anyway. They kissed the client's feet the people who had cash. I could feel his eyes following me as I go on my way. So could Maggie, her chest was out and she was all ruffled up she would peck out his eyes if she could. It is a good thing I have some control over when I shift because I knew she would fly and poop on his head. Yep, that is what I said, when someone annoys me they always get a wonderful white present right on top of their head from my animal.

I found the bench and was more than ready to sit down and put my feet up. For a little town, there was a lot to see. I think I am going to really like it here. About 20 minutes later I am picked up by the shuttle. When I picked up my pack I noticed it was considerably heavier. That's odd. I did not bother to check because I just wanted to get where I was going and get some food. I did notice that tingly feeling again. I wonder what it is. I sure hope I'm not getting sick. I really need to work.
