When I arrived at the resort my breath was taken away. I loved the fall colors painting the trees. Amber, orange, yellows, and red. I loved the fall and this was absolutely beautiful. Austin never looked like this. The air smelled sharp and fresh. Nothing like a bigger city smells. I really do love where I have found myself a home.

There is what looks like a hot spring and a pond that are a decent size. Everything is so beautiful the driver cleared his throat letting me know that he had stopped. I got off and couldn't help but ogle the scenery then the huge resort itself. I thank him and walk into the foyer. I checked my mouth for drool when I realized I had not shut it since I arrived. Mr. and Mrs. Miles greeted me as I walked in.

"How was your ride?" she asked

"It was fine," I tell her. I have never been very good at small talk. "You have a lovely property here. I bet you will really be busy this winter."

"Well not just winter Dear, we are planning a year-round resort."

"Now," says Mr. Miles "Moony our daughter will show you to your suite. Then you can come down once you are settled. We will get your paperwork all in order."

I look over at their daughter and she cringes at her name when they call to her to do just that.

"Yes Sir. Also thank you." I tell them because I am very grateful they are giving me this chance.

"Thank you for showing me around, uh, what would you like to be called. I can tell you do not like Moony very much."

"She smiled and said Ginny is fine. Great observation there." she comes into my room and sits at a chair by a desk.

"I don't know about that, it was either the fact I think I could hear your eyes rolling to the back of your head or the wrinkled nose you made like you drank sour milk." We both laughed at my joke. "Thanks again for showing me around"

"It's ok, we will be working together might as well get to know you a little. I think we are gonna be great friends." She says. I absolutely could listen to them talk all day long. I love that British accent.

"So how long have you been here?" I ask

"Not long, I came for a vacation and never left, well I did skip out on college but still I stayed here. I put some fresh clothes on your bed, mum thought you might be my size. Looks like you are exactly my size, I may have some more clothes for you if you don't mind."

"Thank you, why is everyone so nice in this town. I don't want to owe anyone anything. After being on the streets so long you kinda have trust issues."

"I am so sorry you had a rough time. But really I don't wear them anymore and they would just go to Good Will." She says

"Ok, Thank you" I let my guard down a little with her. I liked her a lot.

"Alright I'll let you get cleaned up and then you can come down and meet everyone, including my boyfriends."

"Uh... that bad, huh?" I asked, smelling my armpits by slightly raising my arms. EWWW! Then I realized she said Boyfriends as in plural. I put that in a file for later in my Great Mind Vault. I heard that somewhere just don't remember where.

" Oh, I'm sorry please don't take offense."

"No I like honesty. I would rather you to say, You Smell like mating wild hogs than nothing at all. And by the way, I do."

"Well all right then, I'll leave you too it." She giggles and leaves. I really like Ginny.

I finally get a good look at my suite. It is better than any apartment I have lived in. Then again I was on the streets and my apartments consisted of a cardboard box if I was lucky on a good day. On a better day, someone didn't swipe it when I was out hustling for food. One look at that bed and I wanted to roll around and stay forever. So I forgo the bed for now.

I found the bathroom and made use of the shower. They gave us the guest shampoos and conditions and soap and they were swanky. After a shower I got a good look in the mirror and I Could not believe what I saw. I looked so different. My dark brown hair was actually brown and not greasy and slick with grime, my skin was clean. I could see some of my freckles that I hated so much as a kid. The woman looking back at me was my mom and not me. I was flooded with all kinds of feelings I didn't want to have. So I shoved those down deep put on a smile and went to see what awaited me downstairs.

(Herman)

There she is. She looks even better than when we saw her outside of town. I know there was an attraction but now it seems like it is so much more.

"Hey, Cav isn't that the cutie from outside town and the Coffee shop?" I asked Caven.

"Yeah she is," he says, "Cleans up nice."

"Eddy whatd' you think?" I asked jabbing him in the ribs, looking back at him his jaw was almost unhinged drooling. I pushed the bottom of his jaw up and snapped my fingers.

"Mate." is all he said.

"Yes, I do believe she is. How are we going to play this? I ask as I watch Caven inching closer to where she is standing. "Hey Cav, don't scare her off. Come back here."

Our attention is broken as Mr. Miles clears his throat. "May I have your attention please." Something about his British accent makes us want to stand at attention. It is the damndest thing. "I want to introduce 4 new members of the crew. When I call your names please come upfront.

Great, the last thing I want to be is front and center. I really did not want to work in a Human establishment but we really needed the work. To be all honest I would love to open something similar for Sups only. Except that takes money and I need it to save it and turn it.

"Pebble, Edward, Caven, and Herman, please come up front."

We all go up next to Mr. Miles. When her green eyes set on me they get really wide with recognition. She turns a really pretty charturce color. Those eyes are amazing. I could get lost in them. They weren't just green they had specs of Gold and varying colors of green. Each spec reminds me of pebbles in a stream. I wonder if that is where her name comes from.

I am pulled from my obvious stare fest as one of the other employees says something rather nasty to Pebble.

"Well look who thinks she's normal. Hey street rat why don't you go play in the dumpsters outback, I'm sure you would feel right at home." says the uptight looking bitch, Tiffany. Why are their names always Tiffany."

"That is enough of that young lady." Mrs. Miles can move when she wants to. "There will be no bullying in this establishment. Any more and you will be terminated immediately." She moved over toward Pebble almost protectively. I really liked these people. Humans or not they were good people.

"Alright everyone here is your packets. Please fill them out and then you are free to go until Monday morning. You will have your weekend free until then. Your schedules and our rules will be emailed out to you." Mrs. Miles says, then as if an afterthought, "If you do not have an email it will be sent to your room. Carry on ladies and gentlemen. I should not have to warn you that this is not a school and you are not children, please do not make me act like a mother or principal. You will not like the result."
