Lunch started off calmly, to Suga's relief. Everyone served themselves and sat down in the grass in small groups. Suga was sitting with Daichi, Bokuto, Akaashi, Kuroo, and Yaku when Oikawa and Iwaizumi walked up. Suga looked up. "Hey, Oikawa. Sit down," Suga patted the ground next to him while everyone else stared at him in disbelief. Suga glanced at them all. "What?"

Daichi glared at the others pointedly before saying, "Nothing. Hi, Oikawa, Iwazumi."

Iwaizumi and Oikawa both said, "Hey," as they sat down next to Suga. Daichi asked, "So, what's wrong?"

Oikawa glanced at him warily. "Why do you just assume something's wrong?"

"There really isn't any other reason you would decide to sit with us, especially since you don't even know Nekoma and Fukurodani," Daichi answered. Oikawa glanced at them: Kuroo, Yaku, Bokuto, and Akaashi were staring at him like he was an interesting problem they wanted to solve.

Oikawa hesitated. He suddenly didn't want to ask his question, but then Iwaizumi punched his shoulder. "Ask them, idiot. You dragged me over here for this?"

"Okay, okay!" Oikawa rubbed his shoulder. "What's up with Tobio?"

Kuroo blinked. "Kageyama? What happened to him?"

"Nothing..." Yaku looked at Oikawa. "I think. Right?"

Oikawa hesitated again, not wanting to tell them everything. "He's just acting weird around us."

"Well yeah. I mean, even if you talked to him, I don't think he's going to grow comfortable around Aoba Johsai like that," Daichi snapped his fingers. Oikawa asked, "Why would he be nervous?"

Iwaizumi punched him in the shoulder again. "Because half of us used to be on his junior high team."

"Don't hit me," Oikawa swatted his hand away, annoyed. Suga propped himself on his hands and leaned back, looking up at the sky. "Well, Iwaizumi's kind of right, don't you think?"

Bokuto, who had- surprisingly- been silent up to this point, asked, "What's he right about? Kageyama's been normal all day. His tosses to me were great."

Suga glanced at them all, then pushed himself off the ground, sitting up. "No offense, Oikawa, but you have a pretty terrible past with Kageyama."

Oikawa protested, "It wasn't terrible... it was just- difficult."

"You tried to punch him," Suga flatly said. Everybody winced as Iwaizumi agreed, "He did."

Oikawa wheeled on him. "Who's side are you on?"

"Saying the truth. If you don't like it, that's your fault. You're the one who did it," Iwaizumi curtly said. Oikawa groaned. "Okay, yeah, but that was three years ago. I was... angry and jealous back then. But now I'm not. Does he not know that?"

Akaashi answered, "He does."

Everyone looked at him. Akaashi shrugged. "What? I can tell; Kageyama knows."

"Then why does he act so distant?" Oikawa asked, his voice a little challenging. He lifted his chin and looked at Akaashi, daring him to answer.

Akaashi didn't look fazed at all.

"Because he still doesn't really know whether or not he's over what happened three years ago. He may want to be over it, but he doesn't know if he actually is. Does that make sense?" Akaashi asked, staring at Oikawa, who glared right back at him. "Yes."

Yaku and Suga exchanged exasperated looks. Daichi stifled a laugh. "Moving on. Why don't you just talk to Kageyama?"

"You don't think he's still upset with Kindaichi and Kumini?" Oikawa asked. Yaku replied, "He probably is, but he's the most disturbed about you."

"Definitely," Suga nodded. "You probably played the biggest role in Kageyama's middle school life."

Iwaizumi looked at the two of them in disbelief. "How do you know that?"

Yaku and Suga shrugged together as if they had rehearsed it. Kuroo added, "So you should talk to Kageyama."

"Talk to him about what?" Oikawa asked. "About how much he hates me?"

"He doesn't hate you," Suga said sharply. "Listen, just pull him over after lunch or whatever and ask him to do something with you- or just talk to him."

Daichi took a long sip of water. "It'll be fine. Trust us."
