A blooming rivalry between two boys. Thompson a dark haired boy. The boy is smart, diligent, athletic ,and teachers like him. Elijah a short brunette boy with a very bubbly personality. He is smart and creative although he is not so much of an athletic person.

Thompson and Elijah rivaled each other. They competed on being class Top. The boys usually get into fights and nonstop bickering all throughout the days.

"How does it feel always being 2nd place? Mr.2nd placer!" Thompson said annoying the smaller boy.

"How is being a spoiled brat?
Spoiled brat!" Elijah spat back.

"2nd Placer!" Threw Thompson.

"Spoiled brat!" Said Elijah bickering back.

The two boys threw in more insults until the class president, who is Elijah's best friend stopped them.

"Okay! Break it up you two." Scolded the class president, who is completely done with the ruckus his bestfriend keeps getting into with Thompson.

"But-" Elijah tried to complain but was immediately cut off by his bestfriend

"No buts!" Said his best friend.

Thompson just scoffed and peacefully returned to his seat. Elijah glared at his  bestfriend still pissed about him breaking up the fight. Al his bestfriend just nervously chuckled and the two of them went back to their seats.

"Al! Why did you do that?" Asked Elijah raising an eyebrow and pouting at his bestfriend.
"Oh come on! If i didn't do anything one of you will probably lose an eye." Said Al chuckling at his best friend's stubbornness.
"But stilll..." Elijah groaned. "I would've thrown a punch so i can erase that smirk of his face."

He slumped into his seat, upset because he feels defeated by his one and only rival. "Awwww.. come on! You probably like seeing his face." Teased Al.
"No I don't!" Elijah answered defensively.
"You always gushed about how "he's so..... handsome" and that "he always distracts you". Teased Al grinning at Elijah.

"No! Never said anything like that!" Elijah groaned annoyed. He glared daggers at Al.
"Hey man chill... it was just a joke!" Al said nervously looking away from his bestfriend, a bead of sweat rolled down his forehead.

Elijah sighed "You know what? Let's stop talking about him." He pointed at Thompson who was looking at them with an untrustworthy grin on his face.
"Let's just talk about what we're gonna do in summer vacation." Said Elijah waiting on his bestfriend whom he caught staring at their class secretary.

"Hello..?" Said Elijah waving his hand trying to avert Al's focus to him. "Yeah?" Said Al, a little startled. "You're staring at her again. Why don't you just ask her out already!" Said Elijah grinning knowing about his best friend's little crush. "What!? No way. I don't like her." Said Al nervously.

"Sure you don't." Elijah scoffed at his friend.
"No." Al sighed knowing his bestfriend has already read him.
"You're really bad at lying." Elijah laughed at his best friend's attempt to lie. "Fine. You got me.." Al sighed in defeat.

Time passed and it was after school. The two rivals were at it again bickering and fighting. A teacher has had enough of the noise so she sent the two to detention for an hour.

"Now the two of you really need to stop this!" The teacher said furiously. "You are going to clean this classroom and will be here for an hour. After that hour has passed you can leave."
The teacher ordered. After ten minutes of sermons which felt like hours the teacher finally left. The two boys are now alone together.

"This is your fault!" Elijah muttered under his breath. Thompson's ears perked. "What did you say shorty?" "Nothing." Said Elijah. "You know what instead of waiting here with you I'll just go." Elijah said and then stood up from his seat heading straight to the door. "Hey! Where do you think you're going?" Asked Thompson standing up and slamming his hands on the desk.

"I'm going to the supply closet to get some cleaning supplies." Elijah answered not facing the other boy.
"I'm coming with you." Said Thompson following the other boy.
"Why?" Elijah asked raising an eyebrow at Thompson.  "Because Ms. Beech told us to clean the classroom. Duh?" Thompson answered rolling his eyes at the boy.

"Are you scared that I'm going to do something to you?" Said Thompson smirking. "No! I'll probably beat you up even before you can do anything to me." Elijah said with annoyance in his voice. He turned to face the other boy.
Elijah paused for a second not expecting his face to be just centimeters away from Thompson's. A slight blush crept onto his face.
"Like what you see?" Thompson said teasing the boy and moving his face closer. "No!" Elijah protested then shook his head completely flustered at Thompson's actions.

"Whatever I'm going there first." Elijah quickly turned his body away from Thompson and stormed out of the classroom. Thompson chuckled at the boy's flushed face and how he swiftly looked away from him. Thompson thought of this as to tease the smaller boy more. He smiled to himself and soon followed the grumpy boy stomping in the hall.

They both reached the supplies closet and went inside to grab the things they need. As they were searching the two both heard a click. Thompson went to check on the door twisting the knob. "The door is locked!" Thompson said bewildered. "What!? Let me try." Elijah turned the doorknob but it wouldn't budge. "What are we gonna do!?"....
