Jessica Smith steadily walked up the stairs of the LeRoy family's house. Her blue gray eyes narrowed behind her smiling black and white mask, ears strained for any sound of movement. The blonde haired girl slowly pushed open the door closest to the stairs with her elbow, popping her head inside. The room was dimly lit by a small, flower shaped nightlight, casting a yellowish glow. Jessica slowly pushed her way into the room, careful not to touch the door with her bare hands. A few toys scattering the floor between her and a sleeping child. She couldn't help but smile a bit when she spotted the sleeping child, so innocent and peaceful.

Jessica quietly made her way to the side of the girl's bed, picking up a stuffed rabbit off the floor and placing it on the shelf next to the bed of the four-year old. "You fragile thing, you'd be so easy to slaughter wouldn't you? But alas, I suppose you aren't ready for that, aren't you little one? Ah, but that's OK, I'll wait until you've seen more of this hideous world then, I'll be back to save you from it." The masked woman purred as she gently stroked the still sleeping toddler.

Jessica's head snapped to the door when she heard a thud from the kitchen beneath her, remembering what she was here for. She quickly walked out of the room and down the stairs, now grasping the hammer that had been resting in the case strapped to her left thigh. The sociopath stepped into the dark kitchen, slowing her pace as she entered the room. Jessica scanned the room through the eyes of her smiling mask, focusing on the door of the pantry.

"There in the kitchen now, no she-"

"Can you tell me what she looks like sweetie?" The operator asked calmingly.

"I can't, she'll hear me- oh my god she's looking toward the pantry, I think she sees me. I'm gonna die, help me please! She has a mask that looks like a ghost and wearing jeans and a light colored jacket I think. I'm gonna die help me." Jaylyn whimpered into the phone as the figure seemingly looked into her direction. She couldn't help but shiver at the sight of the pale, almost white pigment of the intruder's skin.

"I need you to calm down and get ready to fight if she opens that pantry door. Police are on their way."

Jaylyn swallowed and nodded as if the operator was actually beside her, clutching the knife tighter with her shaky hands. Her last strand of hope was shattered as the blonde haired girl burst into the pantry, staring down at Jaylyn behind a white mask. The mask was white with black eyes and eyebrows and a gaping, smiling hole painted onto the mouth area, resembling a ghost. Jaylyn screamed as she dropped both her cellphone and the knife.

                  ————————————
Jessica grabbed the screaming girl's hair with her free hand and forcefully jerked her out of the small area, slamming her to the floor. The terrified girl let out another shriek as Jessica grabbed her throat, choking her as she scanned her victim. "Pl-please d-don't hurt me," Jaylyn choked. "Take anything you want, money, the baby! Just please don't kill me," she pleaded, tears streaming down her cheeks.

This angered Jessica. "You want me to take the baby!?" She hissed through her mask. "From the sound of it, it looks like you've seen to much of this world, already sacrificing someone else for your own being."

Jaylyn squirmed in her captor's grasp, trying to get away. The squirming only made the now furious Jessica tighten her grip, lifting her hammer that she still held in her left hand. Jessica then swung at Jaylyn White's forehead. She let out a satisfied grunt as the swing was followed by a cracking of bone, dropping the injured girl. Now with her right hand free, Jessica grasped her hammer in both hands and brought it down on the girl at her feet. The sound of Jaylyn's skull being smashed filled the room echoing throughout the once silent night.

Jessica only stopped her fun for a moment to catch her breath, letting out a hiss of annoyance as the fait sound of sirens could be heard in the distance. Clearly annoyed, she stepped away from the bloody corpse and back toward the open entrance to the basement, smashing the door knob on her way out, making sure to take it with her for a trophy. She scrambled up the stool beside the tiny window of the basement, sliding through the the small space with no problem.

The police arrived only two minutes after her escape. The clock read 12:23 am.
