Hi ~
Here we are at the end of another book! Good to see you again, and if you're new, hi there :)
I started drafting up the story and characters for this one the second I got back from a vacation in, you guessed it: Oahu, Hawaii. Back then I had absolutely no idea how much these fictional people would come to mean to me, but alas, I never really do. This was one of my longer projects for sure, and while it sometimes had me banging my head against a wall trying to get the words right, I have to say I'm proud of how it turned out. I hope you guys enjoyed reading, too.
Special thanks...
Once again, thank you so much to my two closest friends for endlessly supporting me, and sometimes yelling at me because of things that happened, but mostly supporting me. You guys make my writing and my life better. I'm not joking. You really do.
Special thanks as well to frequent voters like @pastilism, @corinneelysejohnson, @YashikaGarg98 as well as a long list of others. Whenever I hit a writing slump, people like you are my motivation to keep going. Thank you thank you thank you for your support, it means so much more than you might think.
What's next?
As for what comes after this story, I actually might be a teeny bit distant from Wattpad for a while. It's not that I'm going on a long hiatus, don't worry! One of my stories, The Shift (which is a rewrite of Breaking Away, if you want to get a feel for the world it takes place in), won me a book deal last year, but thanks to the pandemic I didn't get to start working on my edits for it until now. I'd like to get those done before I start any new projects.
That being said, I'll continue to update Things We Can't Say once a week, and when I'm done with my edits for The Shift, I'll start working on a fantasy adventure novel I've been fleshing out for a while, entitled Folding the Sky. You can see the cover for it on my Instagram (jnicolewrites).
That's all for now! Much love to you guys and I'll talk to you again soon!
Love,
J. Nicole
