Urgent knocking on the door forced Yoongi to take off his headphones and stop the music. He was making some desperate changes to one of his favorite self-produced tracks and really wasn't in the mood to be bothered
He spun around in his chair and grumped, "What the hell do you want?
Namjoon opened the door a crack and poked his head in. "Did I interrupt you at a bad time?"
"Damn right you did."
"I'm just letting you know that the new kid, Taehyung, is here. He's talking with Jin right now but will be around shortly." Namjoon ignored his comment and added, "Ilike him already."
"Is he the new rapper?" Yoongi asked holding back a yawn. New trainees showed up all the time This "Taehyung" guy wouldn't be any different.
"Yes"
"Is he good?"
Namjoon's smile faltered and his dimple disappeared "I personally haven't heard him rap..."
Yoongi scoffed and he quickly continued, "Remember, today is just a get-to-know-one-another deal. Don't start off with asking him to demonstrate his abilities."
"I won't." Oh yes I will, he thought.
Namjoon eyed the other member with a sigh. He ducked his head back out then said, "Yoongi, he's right here."
"Show the little rascal in." Yoongi sat back in his chair, hands folded in front of his chest.
"And watch your language, he's young."
Eye roll.
Namjoon left and was replaced by a boy. And by boy, he must have been sixteen. The newcomer smiled to break the ice, and Yoongi's heart involuntarily softened a bit.
How the heck is this little cinnamon roll a rapper? He thought.
The little cinnamon roll cleared his throat and bowed, "Hello, my name is Kim Taehyung. Please take care of me," He said, and Yoongi about jumped at his surprisingly deep voice.
"I'm Min Yoongi." He replied after a moment of hesitation.
Getting his act together, he leaned further back in the chair and surveyed him up and down. "Where are you from?"
Taehyung smiled nervously. "Daegu. I lived on my grandmother's farm until I moved to Seoul to become a trainee.
Daegu? Yoongi sat up. " You're from Daegu?"
"... Yes?"
Yoongi shook his head. "Me too. I never thought someone else would be-"
"Really?!" Taehyung was filled with energy once again. "That is so cool! We're both from Daegu! I can't believe it! I'm so happy!"
Despite the doubt from earlier, Yoongi started to feel like there was something more to this new kid. With a small smile on his face he said quietly, "Me too Taehyung, me too."

At the end of the day, Jungkook sided with Yoongi, and left the others alone in the café they raided. Or rather, haunted, since they were now ghosts.
"I myself don't want to really believe that Taehyung planned to murder us," Jungkook admitted once the two were a few blocks away.
"Then go back to everyone else," Yoongi grumbled.
"But," Jungkook quickly added. "I'm not letting this whole incident go quietly, I don't trust those people who claim to be witnesses."
"Would you shut up for a moment? I'm coming up with a plan here" Yoongi rubbed his forehead.
"A plan? For what?"
"Just. Shut. Up."
The maknae went silent. As they walled down the empty streets of Seoul, they avoided the lights. The day before they discovered that they could be seen (more or less) if a strong light shone down on them.
