Chapter 9: Apologies and Half-hearted Forgiveness

A/N: Hey everyone! Here's chapter 9! I have been super busy and haven't really had much time to write, I also couldn't really figure out how to word this chapter in a way that will be interesting for you guys. I tried to make it longer than the other chapters because of how long I made you guys wait for this. So anyway, here it is...enjoy!

Wyatt's POV:

After getting Chris out of there, I didn't really know where else to go other than the bridge. I need to find out where Chris has been living, where he's been sleeping, and how much he's been sleeping and eating. But for now, I have to get him to call down, his power is starting to affect the weather more...if I don't get him to calm down San Fransico will have an unpredicted storm like no other.

"Chris," I say as I hold him against me. "Take a deep breath, you need to calm down," I said. From the corner of my eye, I can see aunts Phoebe and Paige standing awkwardly a short distance away from us. It seems as though they want to help but don't know how, they don't want to make a mistake that could make this situation worse. How smart of them.

Just then I hear thunder and see lighting striking out towards the bridge. I really need to calm him down, I think as I turn my attention back to my little brother. He hasn't moved, has barely blinked, can he even hear me right now? Time to try the next best thing, our sibling bond.

Chris, I need you to listen to me very carefully. You have to calm down, I know you're upset but your powers are starting to affect the weather. Take deep breaths and try to calm down at least enough so that your powers will stop trying to kill everyone in San Fransico! He blinks a little at this...we haven't communicated this way in a long time. Finally, his eyes catch mine and I see that he's coming back a little. "Chris," I ask as the weather starts to ease up.

"Wy," he asks as he finally comes back. He looks around in confusion seeing that we're on the bridge instead of in the manor. "Your powers started wreaking havoc on the house and mom was about to blow you up," I explain. To this, his eyes become a little darker probably at the fact that our mother was about to do something that would more than likely kill him. Just as I think this his eyes slide to look at something behind me.

Oh right, our aunts are here. I almost forgot about them. "They wanted to talk to you," I explain again. He nods at this and looks at me once more, he can't even look at them. "Chris," starts aunt Phoebe. She's a bit hesitant after that little display of power. Good!

"What is it Phoebe," asks Chris once again without looking at them. He's now looking out towards the water. His voice is almost empty of emotion and he sounds even more tired than he did before. "We wanted to apologize for our behavior. We should never have treated you like that. We believe you...even if Piper and Leo don't," says aunt Paige. I can see that they're sincere but Chris hasn't looked at them at all. I can tell that this disappoints them but really what did they expect after what Piper and Leo said, after what Piper was about to do?!

"We want to help you," says aunt Phoebe. There is hope in her voice but that disappears as Chris still doesn't look at them. "It's fine...I'd appreciate the help. Thank you," he says finally but the way he says it is a bit half-hearted and empty.

I have a lot of work to do. Seeing that they weren't gonna get any more out of him and wisely choosing not to ask any questions for the moment, they leave. And once again, we're alone on the bridge.

What to do now?

A/N: Well here it is, chapter 9! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, I once again apologize for the long gaps in between updates. Chapter 10 will be focused on Wyatt and Chris and it will probably be like this for a couple of chapters. Wyatt sees how bad things are for Chris and starts to help Chris in ways that he would during their childhood. They also hunt a few demons allowing Wyatt to observe just how strong Chris has gotten.
