So I updated this chapter now because it'll take a short while for the next to come out....😔....but not to worry it wouldn't be long.

So here it is.....

In my opinion it wasn't a good idea that Deja was baking a cake but she seemed determined so I supported her.

A chicken lap was in my hand as Deja added another spoon of sugar to her batter. She was cooking through a recipe.

Mum glided in and watched Deja for seconds before saying, "you add the flavor before the colouring."

Deja looked up at her, "No, I can add it anytime."

"I'm pretty sure it goes in first. Here let me." Mum moved over and snatched the colouring and turning stick.

"Mum, I can handle it."

"No! I got it. Here...." Mum reached for an ingredient and poured it in the batter.

"No don't add that, it's a chocolate cake!" Deja shrieked.

"Oh..." Mum dropped the turning stick.

"Great! Why don't you do it your own way then!" Deja stormed off on that note.

I stopped eating the chicken and watched mum's sorry face as well as thinking about what would have happened if I did that.

Helena gave me a killer glare and I knew that she had seen the pictures that Adonis had posted - the ones we took when I went to his family reunion.

The meanie walked over to me and folded her hands across her chest, with Miranda and her retinues behind her.

"You must feel really awesome now?"

"Excuse me?" I was on my desk reading a novel until she came to me.

"You're happy that you got Adonis."

"For the love of God Helena, I'm not talking about that."

She eyed me, "I'll find another way to show you that I'm the boss."

I decided to be mean, "Of course you are, the boss of stupidity and vanity, I dare not challenge you, your royal Majesty."

Helena scoffed and sashayed away.

Natalie came to sit next to me after Helena had gone.

"What was that?" She motioned towards Helena.

"Mindless stuff."

"About Sean..."
I looked around the room trying to find him. He was in his seat scribbling something in a paper.

"What about him?" I asked grinning.

"I think he might like me."

"How'd you know?"

"Because he asked me to get pizzas and sodas with him on Friday afternoon."

"Awwn... So cute."

"I know." She giggled and smoothed her skirt nervously, "Now I'm just dead nervous about Friday afternoon."

I pulled her in for a short hug, "You don't need to be nervous."

She nodded with a small smile.

"How are you and Adonis by the way?"

"Smooth but I think he's jealous about my relationship with Mace."

I had to explain what happened at his party.

"I'd think the same thing too. You hang out with Mace a lot. Did I see him walking you home on Friday?"

"Yeah but as a friend."
