The start is the end. Or so you thought

You get home from a long day of school, as you sit on your cotton bed you get the sweet relief of being safe and secure inside your fluffy blankets. You open your phone and head to your group chat

BESTIEEE: hey have you guys heard of the whole duolingo story? How he's been hacking into people's phones or whatever, it's kinda scary. Y/N don't you have duolingo? You should let us know!

You drop your phone. HOW COULD I FORGET??? You think in your head. You pick up your phone again, your palms sweating "I can't believe I forgot the stupid Japanese lessons again" you roll your eyes as you open up the duolingo app. You get a notification....

Uh oh... looks like someone hasn't finished all their lessons!

Your phone starts to vibrate and shake, you start screaming and almost crying. What a wonderful day for your parents to leave you alone. For a split second your phone finally stops spazzing out. You let out a sigh of relief and lay back down. Something heavy falls on top of you and you can't tell what it is because your vision has gone blurry and it slowly fades to darkness. You even lost your hearing, but your ears still ring in pain.
"Kon'nichiwa o bentō baka 〜"
Is the first thing you hear when you regain your vision and hearing. You open your eyes to see a frail boy with green hair and a shirt to match on your lap. You sit up and you two are close now. You scream in terror of the stranger in your house.
"Do not fear! I'm here to help with your Jaoanease lesson. You should start doing them more often!" You get up  to look at the stranger sitting on your bed "what the fuck is THIS?!" you exclaim. "Shinpai nai! I'm here to help you, baka!" You pause, and tilt your head in confusion. He gets off the bed and you grab his arm. He looks at you and blushes. "Woahwoah surōdaun sokode akachan ni atta bakari" he flicks his wrist off of yours. You grab your Japanese writing note book and hit him with it.
"Itaiitai! Ijiwaru!" You giggle but then return to your previous stern expression. "I want you to explain IN DETAIL how you got here and why." You reply. "Well, I hacked into your phone and what does it look like? I'm your duolingo bird! I don't really have a name so I guess you can call me duo. I wouldn't have to be here if you did your work, so let's continue on that. You've understood everything I've said so far, yes?" "Yes..." You say back, still questioning everything you've been told. He slams himself onto the ground sitting in a W shape with his hands in his lap. You sit with him, folding your legs up. "Repeat after me" he says " Anata wa utsukushīdesu" and you reply with "Anata wa utsukushīdesu?" "Awwww!
O bentō arigatō" he says, you shake your head in confusion. "You're beautiful." He states  as he looks straight into your eyes. "Thank you?" You reply with, quickly. "Anata wa utsukushīdesu means you're beautiful, baka!" "Oh.." You say in a sad tone. He grabs your face and cups your cheeks "I hate to admit it. But you're super smart" you blush and look away. "Itoshi teru, o bentō" you look at him in udder shock but manage the words "Itoshi teru o" he pulls you in for a hug as you lean in you place your hand on his neon green hair.
Knock knock
"Shit! The door! Give me a second duo... it's my partner..." he glares at you. You open the door and your s/o swoops you up and carries you into your room and throws you on the bed. You've been wanting to break up with them for so long now, they've always treated you horrible and you've had enough. They sit on top of you, taking your shirt off then you see a neon green figure that once was not there emerge. He hits your s/o upside the head with a bat. You scream in terror, but to be honest you're not mad. Intact, your scream of terror becomes a scream of joy. You hug Duo very tight as you look at the dead body on your bed.  He grabs the body and you and throw you both over his shoulder. He's so frail you wouldn't dare to think he could pick you up, let alone you and your ex. He walks down to the basement and throws you both on the ground, catching you with his foot about an inch away from  the ground. Then throws you back up and catches you again. "Did you happen to play soccer in school?" You say giggling "Jitsuwa sōdesu..." You both laugh as he pulls you closer "you won't tell anyone right? This is just between us?" He says sounding concerned.  "Of course!" He leans in for as kiss and of course you kiss him back. He sets you down on the ground and gets on top of you, taking off his clothes he slowly fades away, and winks " Kangaenaoshite, korera no ressun o sukippu shite, mōichido kore o jikkō dekiru yō ni shimasu, bentō 〜"
