Chapter 7

Aria's POV :

I went in my room to change my clothes. We decided to spend weekend in our farm house. I was packing my clothes when suddenly my phone rang. It was Janet, Mia's mom.

" Hey Janet, How are you?" I greeted her.

" Aria, I am sorry to call you suddenly but I really wanted to ask you something important" She said. Why is she sounding so worried?

" Is everything ok? Where is Mia?" I asked her concerned.

" Mia is sleeping. She is not feeling well since she came back from your place in the morning" Janet informed me. Mia was not at my place. But why does Janet thinks Mia was with me? Should I tell her? Maybe I should talk to Mia first.

" Why? What happened to her? I mean does she have fever or something?" I asked her.

" I don't know but when I called her for breakfast, she refused to come out from her room and said she is not feeling well"

" Don't worry Janet. I will come at your place now and talk to her ok?" I said.

" Ok. Thank you so much dear" Janet said.

I heard my mom was calling me downstairs so I went down.

" Aria, why are you not ready? Go and get ready fast" Mom said.

" I am sorry but I can't come with you guys" I told them. Everyone stopped doing whatever they were doing. My mom touched my forehead.

" You don't have fever" Mom whispered as she frowned.

" I know mom" I wanted to roll my eyes at her but of course I don't want a lecture on how a child should always respect their elders.

" Then why aren't you coming with us? Are you going to meet some guy" My brother asked narrowing his eyes at me.

" What guy? Princess, what is your brother talking about? Are you going to meet some guy?" My dad also narrowed his eyes at me. Oh God! Why is my family so dramatic?

" Ok. Mom, dad and you stop" I said pointing my finger at them. My brother looks offended because I didn't took his name.

" Yes mom, I don't have fever. I am perfectly all right and no Jorden, I am not meeting some guy. I am telling the truth dad" I said. Before anyone of them could say anything I continued,

" Actually Janet called, Mia is not feeling well. So I am going to meet her and don't worry about me. I will take care of myself" I said as I smiled at them.

" What happened to Mia?" Jorden was the first one to ask. I narrowed my eyes at him then replied.

" I don't know but Janet said she is not feeling well and not even eating anything so I am going to see her" I said as I wore my shoes.

" Ok but be back soon" Mom said and I nodded.

I reached at Mia's place in 15 minutes. When I rang the bell, Janet opened the door. She immediately hugged me.

" Thank God, you came Aria. I am really worried about Mia. Please talk to her"

" Don't worry Janet. I will talk to her" I said and gave her a reassuring smile.

I went upstairs and knocked on her bedroom door but there was not a reply.

" Mia, open the door. It's me Aria" I said. She opened the door and went to sit on her bed.

I looked around her room in surprise. Because this is the first time, i am seeing so much mess in her room. Mia has always been an organized person so it's not so like her.

" Mia, what happened to you? And why is your room so messy?" I asked her.

" Aria I don't want to talk to anyone. Please go" She said.

" I am not going anywhere. First tell me what happened to you" I asked and she started crying.

I patted her back to calm her down. This is the second time, I am seeing her cry, The first time when I fainted in school.

" Mia here, drink this water" I gave her the glass of water which was on her table. She drank the water in gulp.

" Now tell me, what happened to you?" I asked. She looked at me for sometime then sighed.

" Yesterday after you left the party, Austin got call from someone so he excused himself. Just then Alexander came from nowhere and dragged me out of the door. He was drunk. Before I could confront him, he kissed me. When he pulled back, I slapped him hard. Suddenly, he started crying and was saying sorry again again. I couldn't understand what was going as I was also drunk. In heat of the moment I also kissed him. Next thing I know is when I woke up in someone's bed. I got up confused and saw Alex in front of me. Before I could say anything, he told me ' forget what happened between us and don't you dare tell anyone about it'. I was feeling humiliated when he said that, so I immediately left" Mia started crying. That son of a.... How dare he. Before I could take a step towards the door, Mia stopped me.

"Please don't Ari. I don't want anyone to know about this" She whispered. I gave her a hug to comfort her. I hope karma hits you Alex.
