"Briana did you hear new editions coming back to the projects!" My friend dion says squealing and catching up to me while im walking back home from school as I had my books in my hand and she had her books "great" I say rolling my eyes. "Cmon bri remember when Ralph was eyeing you" she says nudging me "yeah and remember when he ditched me for fame and never bothered calling me again after he promised he would" i say scoffing "girl lighten up he probably got busy" she says nudging me again "yeah I guess. Well I'll see you then" you say "aight bye" she says waving and going into her project.
You were finishing up homework and listening to your boom box as it was dark outside and suddenly you hear people yelling and screaming. You looked out the window and saw the new edition tour bus rolled up. I rolled my eyes and went back to my work. I didn't even wanna see them. I became close with all of them. After they became a hit with candy girl that was the last time we ever spoke and that was the last time I planned on speaking to any of them especially Ralph who would try to flirt with me. Ralph probably doesn't even remember me. I was snapped out my thoughts as I heard a knock on the door. I checked the time as it was 6pm. I opened the door anticipating who it was but it was just one of my friends. "Yo dalvin" I say smiling "Sup bri you tryna go to the store with me my momma buggin and making me get her some groceries." He says and i smiles "sure" i say grabbing my coat and walk out with him.
Ralphs pov
I was out by the basketball court talking to some old friends from the neighborhood "uhm do you guys know if y/n still lives here?" I ask and my old friend jay nods "Shes right there actually" he says and i turn around as she was laughing with some other guy. "Wow" i say to myself staring at a daze. My heart raced as she was laughing and smiling. I started feeling all nervous. No girl ever makes me feel nervous. I was snapped out of my thought "HOLY SHIT THATS BRI NOW? IM BOUT TO SMASH" Ronnie says from behind me. Thank goodness y/n didn't hear his dumbass. "Stop it man" I say snapping back at him "Ron, Rick, Biv check out Brianna now" Ronnie says waving them over "don't stare at her it's gonna make it obvious" I say "Yo they dating?" I ask "y/n and dalvin? Nah they close but y/n is pretty popular girl over here. She has it all some of the fellas say. Her looks from her laugh. Considered the dream girl over here in the hood. All she worries about is school.'' He says and i nod "YO Y/N!" I yell smiling

"Who the hell calling you?" Dalvin asks looking around. I knew it was Ralph by his voice and I completely ignored him "uhm aint nobody calling me." I say smiling nervously "I mean if you say so" he says smiling and goes back to his funny story.
That night when i was crawled into bed i thought about ralph. Did he really want my attention to talk to me or just show off how much better off without me he is. I think maybe I fear that if I look at Ralph Tresvant again. I'm gonna catch feelings like I used to have for him.
