Amusement Park || Yang Jungwon ff

Haunted House

Jungwon pov
"Whoa! Is that the haunted house?" Hye-jin asked loudly.
"Omg!! It is!" Y/n said.
As I looked over to her I could see how her eyes lit up. It made me unconsciously smile to myself.
"Yeah since it always brings in a lot of money the amusement park owners decided to keep it around all year long" Heeseung explained.
"We should totally go inside!" Hye-jin said.
"I'm down" Kimi instantly replied.
I looked over to Sunghoon and Heeseung to see them a bit startled probably cause they are slight scaredy cats. Although they are no Jay I knew they could be scared easily by surprises.
"If you guys want to we can" Sunghoon spoke up after seeing the pleading faces of the three girls. Tch what a softie.
"Should we all go at once as a whole group?" I asked.
"That could work, but I think it would be more fun if we went in pairs" Hye-jin grinned, seeming to lead the whole operation.
"I think that would be more fun too" y/n agreed.
"How should we split up then?" I asked.
"Wanna go in the same pairs as the last ride?" asked Heeseung.
I was completely on board with this since I'd be with y/n again which is what I had been secretly hoping for.
"How about we change it up and pair up boy-girl" Hye-jin said looking like she had a plan in mind.
"That's fine by me" Heeseung said.
But I could totally see right through his calm facade. He was definitely nervous to be going alone with one of the girls. Hyung is so cute.
"Okay, who will go with who?" I spoke up, wondering if I would still be with y/n or if they wanted to completely change the groups, which I hoped was not the case.
"How about you and y/n go together again" Sunghoon said, discreetly winking at me with a smirk on his face.
"I can go with Sunghoon and Kimi will go with Heeseung" Hye-jin spoke up, "If that's okay with everyone."
Everyone nodded in agreement as we headed over to the haunted house.

Y/n pov
"Who wants to go in first?" Kimi asked the group.
"We'll go!" Hye-jin yelled excitedly as she pulled Sunghoon to the front with her.
"Whaaa—" Sunghoon wasn't even able to protest before he was dragged into the haunted house.
I chuckled to myself at Hye-jin's usual bold behavior. I turned back to the others just to find Jungwon staring at me, but he looked away as soon as our eyes met. Hmm that's weird...is there something on my face?
As if Jungwon had read my thoughts, he said, "Sorry, there's nothing I was just..." he began to trail off making what he said inaudible for me to hear.
"We'll go next" Heeseung said, turning my attention back to the group.
"Okay"
I watched as Heeseung and Kimi left Jungwon and me behind. There was an awkward atmosphere surrounding us. I was sure Jungwon felt it too but I tried to shrug it off. Why are things suddenly so awkward between us? It wasn't like this before.
It was now our turn to enter the haunted house as I looked over to Jungwon to see if he was ready. He looked at me and gave a small nod motioning for me to enter first. But before I could enter his arm stopped me in my tracks. I looked over to him confused as to why he had stopped me.
"I just thought maybe I should go first just in case" Jungwon said while puffing out his cheeks shyly while avoiding eye contact.
My cheeks began to heat up at his thoughtful gesture.

Hye-jin pov
"Ahh what was that?" I scream as I heard shuffling around us.
"It's okay I think it was just—" Sunghoon began to say before he was cut off by a clown (A/N: guys the only clown here is me) jumping in front of us.
"AHHHH" we both scream as I clung onto Sunghoon for "protection". Although, he was just as scared as me so I don't think it really benefited me other than the fact that I had a reason to be close to him which in hindsight was my whole plan from the beginning, but now that we were here I was kind of wishing we had stayed in a larger group.
We barely made it out alive...okay so maybe some exaggeration there, but still. Both of us had our hands on our knees bending over in a huffing state trying to gain back our breath after having ran most of our way through the haunted house. Soon after we heard the screech of a little girl getting closer to the exit...oh wait that's Heeseung. He came out running faster than I've ever seen anyone run before. He immediately jumped onto Sunghoon for protection even though he was already out. I looked back confused as to where Kimi had gone since they were supposed to be together. Just then I saw her walking out of the haunted house seemingly unfazed.
