Juno Montgomery, the good girl of West Ham. She was nice to everyone including the people she didn't like. Her father believed what you put into the world is what you get out of it. Juno always loved her father, and in her memory she followed what he believed. She lived her life everyday trying to make sure she didn't hurt a single soul. She was known for her brother, Finch Montgomery. The guy every girl wanted to date ever since they moved during freshman year. Juno never understood why every girl obsessed over him, to her, he was just Finch. The smart pessimist loner she called her brother."Juno, five dollars, please?" Finch asked.
"Finch, no, you still owe me from last time." She mocked him. Yes, Juno was nice to everyone. Finch being the only exception. It's what siblings do, is what she told herself.
"Please? I need money for the trip." He begged.
She sighed as she opened her wallet. "Fine, but you owe me, again!"
"You still sitting with Allie?" He asked.
"No, I think she's riding with Will."
"So you're riding with Cass?"
"Maybe, unless my amazing friendly brother finest want to sit with me." She hung onto him. He chucked and lightly shoved her away.
"I'm gonna sit by myself and sleep through the entire trip."
Juno sighed. "Fine, I'll ride with Cassandra."
Juno sat in the crowd as she watched her brother, Finch perform. Finch's number one fan was always his sister despite his negative attitude. The two polar opposites were still attached to the bone. So when the play was over Juno was the first one waiting for the actors to come out. She gave him a hug which he usually hated but since he'd just gotten off stage Juno knew he wouldn't mind.
"You did great!" Juno pulled out the camera she took everywhere. "Stand right there."
"Thanks, where's mom?" Finch asked searching past Juno hoping to see their mom as Juno's camera flash left him seeing spots for a few seconds.
Juno gave him a sympathetic smile. "She's probably running late." She turned the camera at him. "If your gonna be my model you need to start smiling."
"She's been late to the past two years of our lives." He muttered. Juno patted his back as they headed out.
Juno saw Harry, Kelly, Grizz, and a few other people. Finch gave them a quick nod, as expected. Finch wasn't the most popular, he actually didn't have many friends compared to his sister. He liked to distance himself from his peers as he thought they were immature and dumb.
"Night," Juno smiled. "Kelly, Harry, you guys did great."
"We're having a party, if you guys wanna join?" Harry slightly smirked at Juno. He'd always had a slight attraction towards the girl. She was pretty, nice, and for the most part innocent. And best of all she seemed happy, genuinely happy.
"Thanks, but we have to get going." Finch answered. Juno looked at her brother and back at the group. She smiled.
"See you guys tomorrow." She chimed.
They said their goodbyes and watch the Montgomery siblings live another mysterious day. Everyone knew their name but no one knew their story. They moved to West Ham three years ago unexpectedly in the middle of the year. Juno was happy to start a fresh new life while Finch resented his mom for moving them.
"I was thinking we could get those little ice cream cakes and watch Freedom Writers." Juno suggested. "Like how we used to with mom."
"Yeah, well first we gotta find mom." Finch stated. He was sick of this routine. He was sick of having to act like the adult in his broken family. "We'll check the bar first."
The two siblings sat in the car that stood a few yards from the bar in the next town over. Finch sighed unbuckling his seatbelt.
"I'll go get her, today. It's your day after all." Juno volunteered.
"No, it's fine. I'll get her."
Nonetheless, Juno got off and followed her brother. She felt bad for him. She knew he was sick of their mom. She knew he sulked over this and that made him bitter. Still, she hoped he could see the good out of it. They had each other and that's all they really needed.
"Hey, Gary!" She greeted the guard at the door.
"Hi, Juno. Finch, how was the play?" He asked. In the past three years Gary had become what Juno called a friend and what Finch called a concerned adult figure.
"It was fine." Finch replied.
"Gary, you should've seen him! I've never seen Finch as concentrated as he was in the play. He looked like he was actually the character!" Juno rambled.
"Sorry, I couldn't make it tonight." Gary patted Finch on the shoulder.
"It's okay," Finch gave a half smile. He felt a bit better knowing there was someone besides his sister that wanted to see him perform. "Is she here?"
Gary nodded. "Been here all night."
Finch went in and immediately spotted her. She sat exactly at the bar. Her dark hair covered the table. Luckily she was passed out so she wouldn't fight him like last time.
"Hey, Finch, how was the play?" Amber the bartender asked.
"Good, thanks." He said as she help him get his mom on her feet enough so he could pull her out. "Thanks, again Amber."
She nodded before he head out. He could hear Juno's voice talking to Gary. Gary quickly went over and helped Finch when he saw him. They gently laid her in the back seat of Finch's car.
"Stay safe," Gary told them as they sat in the car about to leave.
