THREE

Even though it was Monday, and Niall's bar doesn't usually opens on Monday's night, he opened it just for us.

So we could get wasted.

I took control over the music, letting some Led Zeppelin's album blast through the speakers, contributing to our mood.

Niall opened two bottles of tequila and we both chugged them down, one each, until the album was over, Niall kept crying over his breakup and I ended up vomiting all over the floor, accompanying his feeling.

After I vomited, we laughed and cried for a while.
Not even sure why, but it seemed right.

It seemed like it was what we needed at the moment.
So we went with it.

We laughed and cried for what it felt like hours, that until we lost consciousness, falling on the deposit's dirty sofa.

It wasn't until my phone, that was still connected to the speakers, started ringing the next morning with my known ringtone and wakening both of us suddenly.

Almost giving me a heart attack.

I stumbled my way behind the bar, where the phone was still plugged.
Trying to make sense of where I was, who I was and what day of the week it was, I distinguished Brianna's name on the screen.

With a growl, I picked up.

"Yeah?"

"Where are you?"

"Huh?"

"Louis, I have to leave in five minutes."

"Leave?"

"You told me you were looking after Freddie today,  he's still sick."

"Oh! Shit. Right. Yeah. Okay, I'm... I'll be there soon, okay?"

"You forgot?"

"What? No." - I lied, running my cold hand on my forehead to calm my headache a little.

"Sure." - She snorted. - "Be quick."

After she hung up on me, I sent a quick text to my boss, saying that my son was still sick and that I needed a day off again.

Then, I rushed to the deposit to find my best friend who went back to snore as soon as I got the call.
I made sure to cover him with a thin blanket and took my things, rushing out of the bar and getting into my car.

Driving wasn't probably the best option while being this hungover, but this early on a Tuesday it would be impossible to find an empty cab.

Also, the fresh air of the morning kinda helped getting me out of my numbness.

So I drove to my ex house, finding Brianna standing on the doorstep with an awake Freddie on her arms, waiting for me.

"Sorry." - I mumbled.

"Yeah, sure." - She huffed, handing me our son. - "He says he's alright, but I know he's lying because he wants to go to school. Keep him in bed, resting. I'm late for work." - She kissed Freddie's forehead and smiled at him. - "Bye, baby."
