"YOU DID WHAT?!" I scream at my dad after he tells the news. "I AM NOT GOING TO THAT SCHOOL" I keep going. "IM HAPPY HERE AT LAMBERT". "I HAVE FRIENDS!"
"I know honey, but you see I don't want to leave you here alone, especially with what happened last year" he says in a sorry state.
-flashback-
I quickly go to my room to hide. There is someone in the house. "Find the girl" I can here the barmy voice come closer to me. "Bellatrix Lestrange" I mumble under my breath. She grabs me by the shoulders. "Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way". "Where is your dad?" she shrills pointing her wand to my neck. "Why do you need to know" I quiver trying to sound like I have a little courage. "I just need to have a talk" she says giggling. Her "giggle" gives me the chills. She quickly stops laughing and points her wand back at my neck. "NOW! You better tell me where your dad is or we're going to have a little talk " she says as she pushes the wand a little further into my neck. Well this is it. I close my eyes to see as little of my death as possible. But suddenly the door busts open which causes my eyes to automatically open. "DAD!" I scream, happy to see a familiar face. "EXPELLIARMUS" he screams and I feel the wand fall from my neck. I fall to the floor and Bellatrix is gone.
-end of flashback-
I guess he's right. I mean I might like it. "Fine I'll go" I say backing down from my angry tone. "We leave tomorrow morning" he says.
I walk to my room and throw myself on my bed. I start thinking about my friends, and my school. Then of Heather. Ugh. At least I'll be getting away from her. I sit up from my bed and get up. Well I better start packing. I take my trunk out of my closet. I reach out my hand from my wand. I wave it a bit and the clothes start putting themselves into my trunk.
-the next day-
I wake up to the blaring sound of my alarm clock. I slap the top of my alarm clock, half asleep may I add. I walk myself over to the bathroom and do the usual. Once I'm done I walk back to my room and I pull out of my closet the last pieces of clothing I have in my closet since everything else is in the trunk I have nothing else to where except this.
It's a cropped light grey sweater vest, a black mini skirt, and a cropped white shirt. I also put on a chain with a little heart pendant at the end of it.

"Are you ready?" I hear my dad say from the living room. "Almost" I yell back while putting on my shoes. I'm wearing my low-top Doc Martens with a pair of white socks. I'm still putting on my shoe, but I still grab my tan colored coat. I put it on still walking out the door.

"Done!". "Ok lets go" Dad says. He hands me a leather bag. "Those are your books for school". I let out a small smile and throw the bag over my shoulder. We get into our flying yellow Volkswagen Beetle and drive to a train station.
We get to the train station and we get our tickets. Platform 9 3/4. We walk over to the wall and go through it. "There it is" he says smiling. "Oh look its Professor Lupin". 3 kids my age come up to me and Dad. "Oh hello" said a girl with hazel hair, which is half up. "Professor who's this?" she continues. "That is my daughter" he says smiling.
Once we all get on the train Dad goes off to the teachers cabins and I need to find a place to sit. I look around but everywhere is taken. I find the kids I was taking to earlier. "Everywhere else is taken, do you mind?" I ask them. "No, not at all" says the girl, scooting over. "I never caught your name" she asks. "Well I'm Maya. Maya Lupin". "Well Maya, I'm Hermione, thats Harry, and that one is Ron". "Nice to meet all of you" I say smiling.
The ride there was pretty quiet. Me and Harry stealing glances every now and then. Once we got off, we were greeted with some... horses? Well at least I think they are. The only way to describe them is bat-like. "Are you okay?" Hermione asks putting a hand on my shoulder. "Yeah I'm fine, just never seen a horse like this before" I say still in shock. "What do you mean there is nothing there?" she says looking at me, concerned. "No, no. I see them too" says Harry still looking at the horses. "Your not going mad" a soft voice says. I turn my attention to the cart. A girl with bleach blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes sits there reading her magazine. "I can see them too" she continues, pulling the magazine away from her face. "Your just as sane as I am".
We all get on the cart. "Everyone this is Loony- Luna Lovegood" says Hermione. "Nice to meet you Luna" I say everyone else just sits there, staring at me for some reason. "What and interesting necklace" I say trying to defuse the tension. "It's a charm actually" she says holding it up. She comes a little closer to me and whispers, "It keeps away the Nargles". "I'm hungry" she says, completely changing the topic. "I hope there's pudding" she continues. I giggle a bit. I like her. "Whats a Nargle?" Ron whispers to me. "No idea" I reply.
Once we get to the castle, everyone goes to they're dorms and a lady pulls me away from everyone else. "Hello Miss. Lupin. I'm Professor McGonagall". "We will have to do your sorting ceremony tonite" she continues. "You were in a magic school before right?". "Yes mam" I reply. "Well follow me" she says pointing to some doors. I walk in and all eyes are on me. I hate this already. "Today we welcome a new student, daughter of your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, welcome Maya Lupin" a man with a exaggeratedly long beard says. "Hello I'm Professor Dumbledore, Head Master of this fine school". "Hi" I say timidly. "Please step up to the chair please" he points to a chair near the podium. I sit it in, waiting for something to happen. Professor McGonagall comes up and places a hat on my head. "HUFFLEPUFF" the enchanted hat yells out. The table on the far left started to clap. I let out a awkward smile and sat at my corresponding table.
All of this food. I start digging in and then I start hearing whispers from the other side of the table. I look over a see a group a boys pushing a boy my age, maybe a little older than me come up to me. He sits next to me. "Hey um- I'm Cedric" he say giving a death glare to the rest of the boys. "Nice to meet you Cedric" I say giving him a awkward smile. "Well um- welcome to Hogwarts. If you want I can give you a tour. Maybe um- tomorrow" he asks stuttering every now and then. I mean he is cute. I mean sure. Why not? "Uh- sure. I guess I'll see you later" I say getting up from the table since everyone else leaving.
I was following the prefect to the dorms when I feel someone tap my shoulder. "McGonagall asked me to give this to you" Luna says as she gives me my uniform. "Thanks. Luna is it?" I ask. "Yeah, even though everyone calls me L-". "Loony Lovegood" I finish for her. "There are worse things to be called Luna" I say smiling. "Yeah I guess" she replies throwing a smile back. Maybe this place won't be so bad.
