I was hoping to forget about Evelyn but she would not escape my mind. Going on with my day even with her on my mind was crazy. My body wanted to leap into the air but also curl into a ball to hide at the same time. When I opened my eyes in the morning, I reached to stretch my arms. Glancing around and fixing my posture is how I bring myself back to reality. . . this one at least. I watched the light in the distance grow. We do not have a sun here. The light never fully settles. It just gets grayer as the day ends and whiter as the day arises. I wish we had darkness. Not the scary kind that symbolizes negativity and monsters we cannot see, but the calming, recharging kind with a moon and stars. Humans do not realize how lucky they are. After staring at the light for a couple more minutes, I got up and floated towards the Newcomers Portal. I saw T this time. I prepared to ask my daily questions. But the only flow of questions was about Evelyn. I frowned and looked down shaking my head to shake out those questions and bring better ones. They would not leave. Once some questions left, more questions came. What is this feeling around Evelyn? Why does my body seem to flutter higher around her? Is this what wanting to be best friends is like? Why wont she leave my mind? Why do I want her to be so happy? By the time I got out of my own head, I was laying head first in the puffy cloud. My legs were still crossed but my hands were over my face and stuffed in the cloud. I sat up to angelic voices echoing towards me and two advisors I recognized as T and V standing over me. Their eyes seemed hollow but instead of darkness, there was light inside of them. That is the first time I really heard them talk. My jaw almost dropped by the beauty of their voices.

"Hey whats wrong?" T's high pitched voice spoke with concern.

"I... I just... Nothing is wrong," I stuttered. They both gave each other a look that meant I had not convinced them, yet. So I continued, "well not much is wrong. I am just tired."

T looked at V in a panicked way and V shrugged and went to her spot by the Newcomers Portal as an advisor. The only way I could think of to convince them that everything is completely normal was to ask a normal question. The only question that came to mind that was not about Evelyn was not really what V was expecting.

"Why don't you ever answer my questions?" I asked. The only response I got was not what I was expecting either. V glanced at me and I saw the worry in her ghostly eyes.

After a couple seconds that I had officially lost hope on getting any answer other than a glance, I looked back down at my flutter that should be feet. V hesitatingly offered something that surprised me. "here, I will give you two answers,'' she said, ''These will be the only answers you will ever get so make the two questions good."

My face lit up. Finally, I can get some answers. But to what questions? No words seemed to form in my mouth but a cheeky smile. I stared up in thought. Considering all that came to my head was questions about Evelyn and V still was not looking me in my eyes, I made the decision to think of some questions over a couple days. They had to be perfect.

When the light was darker I knew it was time to watch the dancers of Novus which we do every once in a while and today was one of those days. The Dancers of the Light is what they call themselves. I sat in my normal cloud, alone, with my face being held up by my hands as they flipped and sung songs and flew across the stage in coordination. That is when I saw the blonde hair that I recognized. I took my face out of my hands to get a better look. It was Evelyn. The smile on her face made my smile rise from my lips, too. The look in her eyes seemed to take my breath away bringing any thoughts with it. That was moment I knew, this was a friendship that was supposed to last more than just a glance.
