Hospital

Beth pov:
After 2 hours the surgery was done. They brought Daan to her room and she was expected to wake up in 30 minutes. The doctor said to me I can be with her but that I need to be calm. When I walked into the room I got a bit shocked because there were a lot needles and everything and it looked kinda scary. I went to sit down next to her and softly stroked her hand. While doing that I was thinking about us. I really think I like her, but I just don't dare to say it to her. I'm just so afraid she won't like me back. After thinking about this for a while I saw her starting to move a bit. Then she opens her eyes. "Hey daan!" "Hey." I went to get a nurse because they asked me to do that as soon as she woke up. The nurse checked her and said she was doing fine. If everything will stay like this she can go home in one week. After that she needs to do calm for two more weeks and then she finally can go back to training. I could see on Daans face she was disappointed about the time it will take. "It will be fine daan I will be there for you and help you!" "Thank you beff" "no problem, how are you feeling?" "Bad it hurts so much" after she said that she started crying. "Calm down daan, I know it hurts but it will get better and you will come back!" "Thank you, can I maybe call my parents?" "Yes sure!"

Daan pov:
After I called my parents I take a nap. When I wake up I see not only Beth but also Lisa and viv. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "Hey daan, I didn't saw you were awake. But we are here to look if you are oke." Viv says. "Oh that's really sweet but I kinda am." "Why kinda?" Lisa asks. "Well it could be better if I wasn't injured and my belle hurts like hell." I try to hold back my tears, I just really can't have this at the moment. I just wanna play matches. "Awh I get it daan but it will be fine!" Lisa says. "I know it will but I'm just dying from the pain why can't they give me something for it!" "They already did but it isn't really working, they can't give you more." Beth says. "Well that sucks." They all start laughing a bit. I try to stay serieus but I can't hold it back and also laugh. "Ahhh fuck!" I say. "Daan what is wrong?!" I hear Beth say. "Laughing hurts like hell." "Owhh come here." Beth gives me a hug. After a while Lisa and Viv go home. "Shall I stay with you tonight?" Asks Beth. "If you don't mind." "I don't" "nice, I need to be fair I'm scared for hospitals." "Awh why are you." "It brings back bad memories." "Do you want to tell what memories or not?" I'm thinking about this because it's hard for me to talk about. "I will but you need to know it's hard to talk about for me. When I was seven my parents and me had a car accident. My sister was at my grandmother at the moment. We all survived but the doctors first weren't sure about my dad. They first thought he won't survive it. He was four weeks in coma. The doctors called it a wonder that he woke up again." I stop talking because I need to cry.

Beth pov:
Daan just told me a really sad story. I get tears in my eyes but pink them away because Daan needs me to help her and not the other way around. "Come here daan." I give her a hug. "I'm so sorry for you, do you still have nightmares or something?" "Only when I'm in the hospital." "Is he oké or does he still have something?" "He sometimes haves trouble breathing because he only has one lung but further he is oké." I went to give her another hug and dry her tears. At that moment a doctor comes in. "Is everything oké?" The doctor asks "Yeah it is, I just told something but I'm fine." Daan says. The doctor walks away again. "You know you can always talk to me if you need it right? You can tell me everything." "Thank you beff that's really sweet of you."
