Chocolate

- We arrive at a small but modern looking cafe near the countryside -

" Where are we? " I ask as he opens the door for me.

" Ah.. it's just a cafe that the members and I have been to. Figured this will be where we both can be comfortable. " He smiles.

" Thank you. " We open the menu given to us in synchronisation.

" Wow.. they all look so good how do I even begin to choose? " I stare amazed at the wide variety of cakes printed on the menu. " Hmm I guess I'll just go with Fudgy Dudgy Chocolate! "

" WAIT YOU LIKE CHOCOLATE? " Vernon looks at me , shocked.

" Well yea they've been my favourite since young and I even have a chocolate scented candle in my room HAHA "

" That's really cool. I LOVE chocolate too and I was about to say I'm gonna get the same cake you wanted to. "

" AH YAY finally someone who doesn't give me that weird look when I order something that looks too rich in chocolate. " I smile brightly.

- The cakes arrive at our table -

" OOOOooooooOO " I hold up the cake and turn the plate around looking with excitement.

Vernon laughs to himself as he looks at me. " HEY what are you laughing at? "

" Nothing.. It's just really cute to see you this excited."

I hit him in the arm and dig into the cake.

I nod vigorously, " THIS IS SOO GOOD. "

" RIGHT?? I FEELS LIKE YOU'RE IN CHOCOLATE HEAVEN. " Vernon got excited. " We should really go get more chocolates together sometime soon. " He looks at me, waving the cake spoon in the air. " IM SO IN. " I agree.

" Anyways, I realised I don't know much about you yet. Is it okay if we talk about you? " His eyes widened in epiphany.

" HAHAHA yea for sure but just telling you know first that I am hellaaaaa boring. "

" NAH that can't be real, so what are you doing right now? "

" Hmm, I'm in my senior year right now and kind of just a really huge nerd who likes Science and reading HAHA but I do bake or cook sometimes. " Vernon listens attentively.

" OH you cook? Maybe you could cook up a little something for me next time HAHA." He winks.

" I know you probably said that as a joke but you know... I've been praised for my skills and I'm up to let you try my cooking."

" Damn I got really lucky huh.. I literally just had the most beautiful girl offer to cook me food. "

I roll my eyes jokingly as I blush. " What about you? Tell me a lil' something about yourself too! "

" Hi I'm Vernon and I have a huge obsession with beanies and I love reading too, so you know.. we could exchange books and read them together one day.. " He snaps his fingers at me and laughs.

" Heh. That does sound really fun though. OOH and I know a place where we can get the best night sky view to match the reading atmosphere and I'll even bring my chocolate scented candle! " Vernon responds enthusiastically, " YES YES YES. "

" But we have to put these on hold first because I'm still touring and I don't know when will I be back in the US again.. " He pouts. " Ahh that's okay! I mean it's just crazy enough that I'm having cake with you and what's crazier is us making these plans. "

" HAHA is it really that crazy? Oh by the way, I've realised that you asked me to introduce myself but it just came to me that I assumed you already know enough information about me since you're a Carat. " He asks. " OH. About that. So, crazy story.. I'm not really a Carat yet. I've just kept myself updated about your band recently and attended the concert because my bestfriend is a hardcore stan and I bought her a VIP ticket to that night's concert as a birthday gift. " I explain. " Ahh I see.. That's great.. I kind of just had this fear that you only came out with me because of my Idol status. " He slides down on his seat in relief. " NONO you don't have to worry about that at all! But fun fact, you were the one who caught my attention when my bestfriend made me watch your livestream back then. " I shyly confess. He sits back straight up and smirk, " I know. I know. I'm irresistible. " He says in a joking tone.

We continue to have a conversation, learning more and more of each other along the way.

" Oh it's already 6. I need to get back and join the members now. " Vernon looks at his phone and says. " Right.. you should get back now then. I'll just take the cab back home."

" No. I'm driving you back home first, silly. "

" But.. what about your members? "

" They'll understand. Besides, I get to spend a little more time with you heh. "
