It Started With a Movie

The Punishment

Zelda stretched as she made her way into the large kitchen of Hilda's castle, finding said girl at the island with her head in her hands with a half-eaten bowl of cereal beside her. She walked over and planted a kiss on her cheek.

"Morning, Hil" she said with a grin, making the other smile back.

"Morning, Zel" she replied happily as she watched her girlfriend sit beside her.

"Last night was interesting, but I liked it."

"Heheh, yeah...wait...who was the one who came up with the idea to have them sleep in such a small bed...?" Hilda asked.

"Er, well...technically, we came up with it together..." Zelda responded sadly.

"Damn it."

"Okay, the kiss they had last night doesn't count toward the contest, but from now on, we need think of plans more independently."

"Right" Hilda agreed. Not long after, footsteps were heard and the two looked back to see Ravio with a small smile on his face and Link in a disheveled mess.

"Woah, Rav, what did you do to him?" Zelda asked.

"What? Nothing! He woke up like that himself. He's a bad sleeper! What did you THINK I did to him?!" Ravio asked, slightly alarmed.

"O-oh, uh...nothing. So what do guys want for breakfast?"

"Anything is cool, cause I'm starving!" Link replied with a hand on his stomach, making everyone laugh.

"Heheh, okay then! Eggs it is."

Zelda told Hilda to finish her breakfast before beginning to work on the eggs. Ravio sat down at the island and pulled Link into his lap before he could sit beside him. The blonde sighed as his head was pushed gently onto his boyfriend's chest. Smiling, he spoke up.

"Really?"

"Heh, yeah."

After breakfast, Hilda disappeared, claiming she had a little bit of work to tend to. The three shrugged it off and sat in Hilda's room as she worked down the hall in her office.

"What should we do?" Link asked as he stared at the ceiling with boredom.

Zelda smirked. Now that Hilda was gone, she might actually have a shot at winning the contest. She had today and Sunday to think of a plan, but she quickly came up with something that might work.

"Hey, let's play video games!"

The two stared at her, dumbfounded, making Zelda glare.

"What?"

"You play video games?" Link blurted out.

"As a matter of fact, I do. Why is that so surprising?"

"Well" Ravio began. "You don't exactly look like you have the time for things like that."

Zelda did a happy dance in her head. This was going exactly as planned.

"How about I prove to you two that I ROCK at video games? Let's play MarioKart Wii and whoever wins gets to choose the punishment for the losers."

The purple haired boy spoke up. " Um...can we play MarioKart 8 instead? I'm a lot better at that..."

The princess face palmed herself. "Ugh, okay. MarioKart 8."

Link and Ravio thought for a moment before nodding.

"Okay" the two said simultaneously. "You're on."
