Today the govenors son came over for dinner. Mr. Flemming wanted to impress the govenor and his son so they had me be the waiter, and i had to watch my love kiss somebody that she doesn't love. I saw the hatrid of him in her eyes. It wasn't fair to me or her. This is bringing her parent and the governor closer so her father can get a better job, but i still don't like it. They started talking about how much they're in love. It all got ruined whe she ran out crying. That's when she told her parents. She went into the back room, I was easdropping, I heard her say it all. Her parents told her that heer father really needed the job so she had to pretend to like his son.
Later that evening Carolinas dad came to talk to me. He said how much he appreciated me for not saying anything till she was comfortable with it. Whenever he saw me he would call me son, and i was ok with that i liked it.
He came over almost every day for the past month, and I overheard him talking about proposing to Carolina.
