Chapter 8 - Ancient Artic History

"This is the story about a boy." Yuri said, sighing. He never told anyone about his past. It's been a decade since that incident, but he still felt that it happened yesterday. "This boy had no parents, but found a new family in the Arctic and he was happy. One day, he came across some bad men that tried to take him away. His parents saved him, at the cost of his new home. And soon, he was on an iceberg heading to the new land."

Bumblebee's POV

Bumblebee listened, it wasn't like she had much choice in the matter. The soldier was beginning to calm down now, slowly bringing her knees to her chest in an attempt to keep herself warm.

'I'm gonna freeze my ass off in here,' Bee bitterly thought wiped away stray tears, and frowned at how she could see her breaths form before her now.

So the kid was an orphan originally from a chilly home world? Explains the weird ice powers well enough, but why did she have to deal with this?!

"Years later, the neighborhood saw the kid as a monster and that no one understands the pain in his past. Then, A woman moves into the neighborhood. She was carrying a baby with purple hair. She said to the boy, "Take care of my son until I awaken from ny rest". and the next day, the woman was sleeping...for the next months." Yuri said, remembering the day he met Cardamon.

"Then, the boy met someone that merged with. Someone that turned him into a literal monster. And that name is....Hyogakki; Elder Ice God from the Dark Dimension." As he told his story, the room started to warm up, his atmospheric effects slowly wearing off by each minute.

Small kid with purple hair? Cardymon? That description sounded familiar, wasn't that the little boy that she'd found earlier? It had to be, since that boy seemed to be associated with this little terrorist in some way. So they were brothers in a way......

Bee didn't have very much time to think about what this weirdo said as she felt the heat slowly creep into the room once more. Panicked, the blonde quickly glanced over at the thermostat and then space heater in the corner. He hadn't touched either, so why was it getting hot?

"Promise you'll never tell anyone this?" Asked Yuri as the Pocketwatch chimed. He opens it up and talks to Hyogakki. "Yuri, what's happening?!" Shouted Hyogakki on the pocketwatch. "I was trying to get you on your watch, but it lost connection and-"

"Bee is here." Yuri replied, showing Bumblebee Hyogakki in the pocketwatch.

"It's Bumblebee to-"
Bumblebee was in the process of removing her bulletproof vest when the compact communicator was turned her way, the heat having caused her to become slowly more uncomfortable. The blonde stared incredulously at the tiny thing, leaning forward with mouth agape as she watched the tiny image of an odd-looking man in the watch. What sort of technology was this? It wasn't like a hologram, but a legitimate moving image in real time!

Now on hands and knees, Bee crawled closer and curiously poked at the little screen with a finger, letting out a small gasp when she saw the man on the other side flinch slightly.
"What.... what is this? Who are you?"

"I am Hyogakki mortal!" Shouted Hyogakki in a dramatic tone. "Elder ice being from the Dark-"

"She knows." Yuri interrupted. Why does that guy have to be hamming it all the time?

"Oh. So anyways, I'm Hyogakki, but people just call me Iceage."

"Hyyo...gato?"
The blonde seemed confused by the odd name, but soon pressed her attention to more important matters. Pressing her mouth into a hard line, Bee sat back and crossed her arms under her chest with a pout, glaring at the kid with narrowed eyes.
"Why are you telling me any of this Yuri? What are you planning?"

Any soldier with a proper head on their shoulders knew better to trust an enemy that leaked their secrets like this, since that was a dead giveaway that something bad was going to happen. Did they plan to kill her? It'd be easy considering whatever bullshit powers this brat had greatly outmatched whatever she could possibly do. So what?

"Listen toots, me and my little human host here is planning to get out of this dimension and get Carterman. And you're too beautiful and cute to be killed."

"Cardamon." Yuri said.

"Whatever. You prove to be an ally for us and you even tried to save our skin when we got captured."

The ice monster leans over to Bumblee and whispers quietly and softly. "And between you and me...Yuri has trust issues when it comes to making friends."

Bumblebee grimaced at the rough language the odd spirit used, but ultimately understood his point despite the dated language used. Despite their earned status as immigrants and trespassers, the naive soldier saw them as children in need first and threats second. And look where that compassion got her.....

Suddenly, Yuri started to get a seizure as his tattoo glowed bright, becoming a bit visible in one of his gloves. Yuri becomes engulfed in a blindling light and transforms into Hyogakki. Yuri was then transported inside the pocketwatch.

"Wha-? Yuri!"
The blonde gasped and tried to reach out to the child as he suddenly began glowing and shaking, but felt herself fall back on her knees as she shielded her eyes from the intense light.

"Kid, what-"
Bee gasped again, and recoiled away from the creature that now stood before her. What happened to Yuri?! She'd greatly prefer dealing with the cute kid instead of this guy.....
