Without Me

Trigger Warning: Verbal abuse, physical abuse, shouting, cutting, anxiety, nonconsent, depression, eating disorder, sleep disorder, trust issues, and fighting.

There are mentions and for some, trigger words or events. I would advise you to not read this if you suffer from an extreme case of any of these. I had a hard time writing this from my anxiety. I gave up proofreading halfway through, from flashbacks, let me know if you see any miss spellings and/or grammar errors. Thank you. 😁

Hinata starts pacing back and forth backstage, anxiously waiting for his turn. He was joined by Yachi and Kiyoko who were trying to calm him with soothing words.

"I still can't believe he did that..." Hinata tells the girls as he was still pacing, "And with Oikawa of all people," He sighs, stopping to face the girls knowing they were going to speak.

"Neither did I, it's so out of character for him, he used to hate him? Didn't he?" Yachi recalls putting a finger to her chin,

"I did too. He was the one who wanted this relationship in the first place," Kiyoko states and they nod along knowing what she meant.

"Hinata Shōyō, Kiyoko Shimizu, Hitoka Yachi!" A stage manager reminds them, "You're up next!" They shout and the three of them nod. Hinata starts pacing again to calm his nerves and Yachi latches onto Kiyoko's arm, getting kisses on the forehead to soothe her down.

Meanwhile with the rest of the team

"I wonder where Hinata is?" Kageyama wonders, looking around for his energetic 'boyfriend'

"It seems like Kiyoko and Yachi aren't here either," Dachi adds looking around for the team's managers.

The people who were already on finished and the whole auditorium bursts out in cheers.

"Up next, The Exposers!" The stage announcer announces and everyone starts cheering, including the Volleyball team until the three people they least expected to walk out on stage.

"WHAT!" They all think looking at each other except Tsukishima and Yamaguchi who share a knowing look.

Back to Hinata, Kiyoko, and Yachi

They nod to each other and Hinata starts with the mic.

"Found you when your heart was broke"
"I filled your cup until it overflowed"

Hinata starts to think about how they first meet at a volleyball game, against each other, and Hinata's team loses, badly and they both agree to beat each other another day.

"Took it so far to keep you close (keep you close)"
"I was afraid to leave you on your own"

When they started dating Hinata was afraid that Kageyama was gonna break up with him and that he was only dating him for pity, and he never left his side.

"He said he'd catch you if you fall"
"And if they laugh, then fuck 'em all (all)"

Yachi got a mic and started singing, remembering when people didn't accept them at first and they had to stand up for each other.

"And then you got him off his knees"
"Put he right back on his feet"
"Just so"

Kiyoko started to sing with another mic and remembered when she witnessed when Kageyama stood up for Hinata when he started getting bullied for dating each other.
