"So why are we here again?" Lisa asked as she sipped her Iced Caramel Macchiato, waiting for a response

Chaeyoung in return shift a few times on her seat, seeming unsure whether to tell the news or not to Lisa

"U-Uhm Y-you know..." Chaeyoung stammered

Lisa sighed

it can't be that bad right?

I meant all their life, Lisa and Rose always has been working hard despite the busy school work and no family are around them

Suddenly, Lisa gasped

She jerk forward in an immediate manner and grabbed both Chaeyoung shoulder and shaking her back and forth

"Chae what have you done!!" She continue to shake the confused Chaeyoung

"W-wha?" Chaeyoung tilted her head after breaking away from the tight grip on both of her shoulder

"Jesus, how can you take care of it?!" Lisa said frantically

"What are you on about?" Chaeyoung raised her eyebrows

"The baby what else! God I can't believe you would do that" Lisa whined and in return Rose broke out in a cackle and loud laugh, earning a few stares from the other customer around

Lisa were confused, Rose is pregnant right? She scanned the laughing woman features

"Damn, Lis. Can't believe you're thinking about that. That was a good laugh" Rose giggled while covering her mouth with her palms

"What then?" Lisa asked

"Well, I'm getting adopted!" Rose cheered out happily only for Lisa to spurt out her drink on the table in utter shock gaining a few disgusted stare from the table beside them

"W-what?! Why would someone adopt you? You are old" Lisa said not minding to clean her messed up chin coated with the beverage as she think that she have a more urgent matter at hand

Rose faked an annoyed expression before retrieving a tissue and dabbing it to wipe her chin

"Geez, you're so messy. Of course I can! You have to search for the right family you know" Rose return to her seat and shrugged away

Lisa sighed

"Hm, okay at least there's gonna be someone taking care of you when you're sick or something" Lisa smiled gently. Even they are not related, both of them are practically sibling and support system by now

"Yes, that's why you're coming with me!" Rose clapped happily while rummaging through her hand bag to retrieve something out before handing it over to Lisa sight

"What? Where?" Lisa asked

Rose pushed a fancy silver invitation card towards Lisa

"You know it's gonna be my birthday in a few days so my parent decided to celebrate it" Rose mused happily, of course she would want Lisa to be there. Since Lisa always has been one of her closest friend ever and she's always taking care of her

Lisa squinted her eyes towards the invitation card and open it up

She proceed to read it out loud seeing the expectant gaze of Rose upon her

"We hereby invite you to the birthday of our daughter, Rose" Lisa paused as Rose nodded happily, she knew that Rose always wanted to be a part of a family as she is an affectionate person that dreamed to have a sister to share story and joy together

"Signed by Marco Bruschweiler?" Lisa asked her eyes wide opened

"Yes, I got adopted by that chef and famous company owner" Rose explained, both hands holding Lisa's palm on the table in hope she would come, she knew Lisa were not exactly a fan of party and always avoid any kind of spotlight as she want to have a peaceful life

"B-but I don't have any suitable clothes...." Lisa muttered as she recalled that her clothes at home mostly consist of, yellow hoodie, bunch of a basic looking shirt and school uniform only

"That's where I come in, we are gonna go shopping, like right now" Rose stood up and dragged Lisa by hand to start their shopping spree for the birthday ball in two days
