~With Suga~

Suga wasn't expecting that from Daichi, so many missed calls and texts from him at once. 'Why was he so worried?' Suga thought as he got dressed. It's true that Suga spent most of his time on his phone so he would reply instantly whenever he got a message but still, that was a bit much. Suga changed into an oversized mint sweater and jeans. 

He snuck out his window knowing his mom was in the kitchen at this time, not risking anything today. This isn't the first time he snuck out, so he knew what to do. He climbed down his window and started walking towards the park. Daichi was already there, waiting. 

"Hi!" Suga said as he approached Daichi. "Hope you weren't waiting for too long" Suga said. "No, I actually just got here" Daichi replied. "So, what do you want to do?" Suga asked. "Maybe we could go see a movie or something?" Daichi suggested. "That's sounds nice, but I didn't bring any money" Suga said with a nervous laugh. "I brought some, don't worry!" Daichi said. "Okay, I'll pay you back tomorrow!" Suga replied. "You don't have to" Daichi said. "Are you sure?" Suga asked. "Of course!" Daichi reassured. 

~Time skip to after the movie~

They were walking home, Daichi wide awake, and Suga who was practically asleep already. "You wanna take a break?" Daichi said as he pointed to a bench nearby. Suga nodded his head yes in reply as he yawned. They both sat down and Suga rested his head on Daichi's shoulder. "Hey don't fall asleep!" Daichi whisper yelled. "Why not?" Suga whispered back. "Well, we can't stay here all night!" Daichi replied. "Yes we can" Suga said still half asleep. "Won't your parents be worried?" Daichi asked in concern. 

"Eh, they wouldn't care" Suga started, "They'll just beat me anyways" Suga said still half asleep. "W-what?!" Daichi shouted. Suga was already asleep on his shoulder so he didn't hear him yell. "Why didn't you say something sooner?" Daichi whispered to his asleep friend. Daichi picked Suga up bridal style and started walking towards his house. 

Daichi walked in his house to be greeted by his mother who was sitting on the couch waiting for him to arrive. "Is it okay of Suga stay the night?" Daichi asked. "Of course he can" She replied with a big bright smile. Daichi's mom got up from the couch and started walking up to her room as Daichi gently placed Suga on the couch. Daichi went to go get ready for bed leaving Suga on the couch. 

~In the morning~

Suga woke up feeling really confused, he didn't remember anything after the movie. He looked around and he noticed where he was, Daichi's house. 'Why am I here?! Mom is going to kill me when I get back!' Suga thought. 'Wait, maybe I can make it back! What time is it?' Suga thought as he reached for his phone. '6:24? I can make it' Suga thought as he got up. He left a note for Daichi and walked out the door. His parents were never there in the morning, and they never checked on Suga. 

He snuck through his window and made sure not to make any noise. He changed into his school uniform and acted like nothing happened. He walked downstairs knowing that his mom or dad wouldn't be there. He grabbed a waffle and started his walk to school. He walked pretty slower than he normally does, unintentionally. 

He got to school and started towards the gym. Of course he wasn't the first one there, Kageyama and Hinata were always first to morning practice. Daichi came soon after Suga did, they both changed and walked back out. "Hey Suga? Can I talk to you outside real quick?" Daichi asked. "Of course!" Suga replied.

"So, care to explain what happened last night?" Daichi asked. "Actually, no I can't. I don't remember anything after the movie! Did I fall asleep or....?" Suga asked. "Well, you were super tired and I asked if you needed a break. So you nodded your head yes and we sat down on a bench. You were about to fall asleep but you had to go home, so I said 'Hey don't fall asleep!'. You responded with, 'Why not?' to which I said 'Well, we can't stay here all night!'. And you said 'Yes we can' and I said 'Won't your parents be worried?'." Daichi explained.

"Ah so my parents were involved, what did I say next?" Suga said interrupting Daichi. "Y-you said 'Eh, they wouldn't care, they'll just beat me anyways" Daichi said choking back tears. Suga's eyes widened. "I guess the secrets out, huh?" Suga said with a nervous laugh. "Suga, this is serious!" Daichi shouted. 

"How- how long?" Daichi asked. "Since I was five" Suga said looking down. Daichi was left speechless after hearing that. "Y-you've been getting abused for that long, and haven't said anything to anyone!?" Daichi said in shock. "Quiet down a bit!" Suga whisper yelled. "B-but you look so happy all the time! How do you do that?" Daichi asked. "13 years of practice my friend!" Suga said. 

"I've accepted my life now, it's really not too bad. Don't worry about me!" Suga said trying to comfort Daichi. "How can I not worry?!" Daichi exclaimed. "Because I'm fine! Okay? If I've survived this long, then I can survive for much longer!" Suga replied. "Shouldn't you do something about it though?" Daichi asked. "No, it's okay, I promise!" Suga reassured. 

They walked back into the gym and started their warm-ups. They didn't take too long with their chat, so nobody was questioning what they were talking about. Morning practice went on like it normally did, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing special. Same as the rest of the day and practice. After practice, just as Suga was about to walk home, Daichi stops him. 

"No, you're coming with me" Daichi says. "If I go with you I'll have to go back home eventually, and when that happens, I'll get hurt more than if you let me go now. Plus I told you not to worry about me" Suga says. "But-" Daichi starts only to be interrupted by Suga. "No, I told you I'll be fine! If anything happens I'll text you, okay?" Suga says. "Fine" Daichi says with a sigh of defeat.
