The Coffee Bean

Chloe's P.O.V
The horrific sound of my alarm clock woke me up out of a deep sleep.

"Ughh" I groaned as I dragged my body away from my bed.

I made my way to the bathroom as I threw my long, brown hair up into a somewhat messed up bun. I grunt as I look at myself in the mirror. I hate what I look like.

"Oh crap!" I shout as I realize I'm late for my interview. This is Seattle. They aren't going to hire a half-decent barista who's late 24/7 to work in their coffee shop. I threw on my best outfit, put on makeup, grabbed my keys and ran out of my apartment. I wanted to go to the library today.. but I just don't have time.

I finally arrived to The Coffee Bean in just enough time that I wouldn't be late. I power-walked inside and was instantly greeted by the staff. One of the baristas was staring at me and I didn't know why.

"Hey, are you the new barista? If so, then grab an apron and I'll help you out." He said with a smile. Woah. That smile.

"Oh uh, no actually I'm getting interviewed for the job in uh, 10 minutes." Oh God, I'm so awkward.

"Oh.. Well, I hope you get the job! I'm Luke Hastings by the way." Luke.. I like that name. We shook hands and I walked away with a smile on my face. If I get this job, I think we'll get along just fine... if I don't screw everything up.

After my introduction with Luke, the manager walked in my direction and I smiled - hoping it would impress him.

"Good Morning Chloe, My name is Paul and I'm the manager here at The Coffee Bean. Okay, so here's how it's gonna work. You're gonna make me a cappuccino with your finest cream artwork. Make the cut, and you'll start tomorrow."

"Perfect! I'll be right back." I walked away half excited and half scared to death he wouldn't like my coffee. I prepared the coffee, topped it with foam, and made a teddy bear face with a toothpick. I came back with the coffee and smiled from ear to ear.
"Be ready to start tomorrow by six."
"Great! Thank you so much!" I couldn't help but smile at Luke, and he smiled back.

heyy okay so i know that this was the shortest chapter ever and Harry wasn't in it but he will be in the next one and it involves the library :) I kind of just wanted this to be an introduction to Chloe. oh and get it? Luke H. hahaha. I'll be updating on 1/23/15 :)
