Chloe's P.O.V
I woke up yet again by the same alarm clock. I got up, brushed my hair, washed my face and walked to the kitchen. My cat, Louis, walked around my feet while I poured myself a glass of milk. While I looked for my cereal in the cupboard, he crawled up on top of the table and drank from my cup.

"Louis! Get off of the table!" Damn cat.

I shooed him away as I reached for the remote to my T.V. I turned it on and started watching the news. they talked about killings and robberies. ugh. it's too early for this.

I turned off the T.V. and checked the time. it was only ten o'clock and I had about two hours before I had to go to work. I couldn't wait to start with Luke helping me out. But for right now, I don't have anything to do so I might aswell go to the library.

I got ready to go, and for some odd reason, I actually wanted to make myself look presentable. So I threw on a cute floral romper that I bought from urban outfitters and put on makeup. I mean, why not right?

I arrived to the Seattle Library in just enough time to browse and take my time. I didn't really have a particular book in mind, but I wanted to start reading a series called The Mortal Instruments. I've always loved books. My mom used to take me to the library every week until the car accident.

I could hear a pin drop while walking through the tall isle filled with hundreds of books.

This library is huge. And soooo beautiful. Heaven.

I ran my finger across the spine of the novels as I passed them. Finally, I found the first book of the series. I became a bit disapointed as I realized it was torn.

I grabbed the book and gladly took it up to the check-out.

I looked around the room while I waited in line. There's always certain types of people who read the different genres in the library. You could tell just by looking at them. My assumptions have never failed. Not once.

The librarian looked a little sketchy. She had countless tattoos and crazy eyeliner. That's so not what I expected her to look like.

Just as I was about to walk away, a boy stylishly wearing a black beanie approached the desk. Hes hot. Like, really hot.

He asked the scary librarian where he could find the first book to The Mortal Instruments. Crap.

Like the nice person I am, I approached him. But I did it nervously.

"Uh hi, I um just got this book off of the shelf and I couldn't help but overhear that you wanted it too." His eyes are so green

"Oh no it's okay babe you can keep it.. Can I just read the info?" He replied.

He called me babe, and he has an accent.

I stared at him for a second
"Oh uh ya sure" I gave him the book as I waited for him to return it. I noticed he put his pen away and I wondered why.

"Thanks babe," He said cooly, winked at me, then walked out without saying another word. That was a bit weird.. But who cares? He was hot.

I started thinking about him as I drove back to my apartment. I really wanted to see him again. He didn't seem like a typical guy. Hmph. I didn't even get his name.

I walked into my room and realized I had 30 minutes left until I had to get ready for work. So I'd thought I'd start reading my book.

The book so far was amazing. I had already reached page 96 when I noticed something scribbled on the paper.

It said. (564)555-2735
His number.
