The Carpet

Everybody nowadays seems to have it somewhere, whether it's in a bedroom or the living room. In most houses Shoto's seen (which is very few) there's always been carpet somewhere.

But no matter the texture, the colour, the location or whether it matches the drapes (Shoto doesn't get why people care about curtain colours?), he hates it. It feels so weird under his feet and he could care less it carpet ceased to exist right at this very moment.

Hence why at that exact moment he was ripping up the carpet from his new dorm room, boxes full of his possessions (which wasn't that much) were neatly stacked outside the entrance to the room.

So far Shoto had been throwing all the carpet he'd torn off the floor out the window, creating a pile of carpet pieces below that he may or may not intend to burn later.

If there was a grassfire later it wasn't Shoto's doing.

Replacing the floor afterwards had been surprisingly easy with the rest of his unpacking going smoothly, though it was mostly his futon that he had to set up anyway, as well as trying to hunt down a stepladder of some description so he could reach the roof.

After finding a pathetic looking one in a storage closest Shoto set to work hooking the lanterns he had to the roof, though it wasn't without hindrance.

Several times Shoto felt the stepladder give way under him when he leant a little too far one way or on other times where he'd miss the first step and just trip over the entire thing. Or his absolute favourite of when the slider that was supposed to keep the stepladder unfolded decided to dip on him, collapsing the entire step below him.

He was a master at falling by the end of the day, he was also 90% sure he sprained something.

Good times.
