"What?" I asked

The owner of the voice walked into the room, revealing himself.

"Are you sure you're a wish baby? The wish makes accommodations based off of what you wish for." the squirrel like boy explained.

I stared at him, clearly still confused.

Minho spoke up. "She clearly doesn't get what you're saying, and neither does anyone else. Explain."

Jisung huffed. "What I mean to say, is that it doesn't matter. As weird as it sounds right now, your family doesn't remember you, and they won't until your wish is done. Your entire life as Hwang Areum is basically erased, there are no records of your existence."

I looked at him in horror. "MY ENTIRE LIFE IS GONE?!" I basically shouted. The rest of the members ran towards the room I was in, wondering what on earth had happened. Jisung started to visibly panic. "Wait! Wait no! I mean, your life will come back, but only after the wish is complete. It's to make sure that nothing gets in the way of the wish, since it has to be granted if you wished for it." he stated matter of a factly.

I was sitting on the bed with the laptop still on my lap, but on the very edge. I started to stand, the laptop slipping off my lap, about to crash to the ground.

Just when it was about to fall, Minho grabbed it with one hand, his quick reflexes saving it from breaking. I didn't notice this however, and I walked past all the guys at the door, heading towards the living room.

"She almost broke my laptop" he muttered under his breath. He placed the laptop on a desk, and pointed at Felix and Chan. "You guys go comfort her, speak in English. She'll feel more comfortable if you speak in her first language." They nodded, and went after me.

I was sitting on sofa, my knees pulled up to my chest. I was looking down silently at my feet, unable to accept what Jisung had told me. I noticed two presences enter the room, but I didn't pay much attention to them. Felix sat down to the left of me, and Chan to the right. Although they were sent to talk to me, no said anything. Instead, Chan pulled me close to him, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. Felix chose to hug the both of us, sitting right next to me, but his arms making their way around Chan. While the two Australian boys hugged me, I noticed that I felt very safe, although I was in a country miles away from my home.

"Thank you" I whispered, now speaking in English. "For letting me stay, for taking care of me, for even bearing with me being here. I appreciate you guys so much".

We slowly pulled away. "I mean, you're going to have to stay with only the two of us for a week, so we might as well get to know one another. Right Felix?" The freckled boy nodded in response. "And me and Chan hyung will take good care of you, so don't feel too stressed or pressured, okay?".

Chan got up, and motioned for us to stand as well. "OK, this has been a long morning. Areum, you go continue to pick out clothes using Minho's laptop. Try not to drop it this time?"

I hesitantly nodded, unsure why he was mentioning dropping the laptop.

"And Felix, you go order lunch with Changbin, try to pick something everyone will like. I'm going to get some items we might need from the convenience store."

Felix nodded as well, heading off to the room he shared with Chan and Changbin.

I heard the front door open and then close, the sound of keys locking. I made my way back into the room with Hyunjin, Minho, and Seungmin in it.

They cautiously glanced over at me, the looks on their faces saying 'Are you okay?'. "I'm fine", I stated. "I'll be okay, don't worry about me. Can I continue finding clothes on your laptop Minho?" He sighed, but handed it over. "Try not to drop it this time?" I looked at him, confused once again, but I carefully took the laptop from him since none of them seemed to trust me with it for some reason.

Hyunjin came and sat by me once again. "We'll be your family while you're here, okay? Us Hwang's need to stick together." He put his thumbs up. I returned the gesture, and felt much safer than I did before.

Me and Hyunjin browsed the catalog for around 20 minutes, and we had found quite a few items that were added to the cart. We were interrupted however, by a sound. I heard the door unlock, and Chan yell out "Areum! Come here!".

Startled, I immediately left the room in search for Chan. I found him at the living room table, with two plastic bags in his hands. "I wasn't sure if you would need these or not, but I brought them just in case. You're staying for a month, it usually takes place within that time period, right?" He placed the bags he was holding on the table. Confused, I peeked inside of them. Inside one bag was pads of all brands and sizes, and in the other was a bunch of chocolate. Chan smiled sheepishly at me. "I don't want you to feel uncomfortable, so if you need these, they're here".

I gave him a huge smile of gratitude. "Thank you, this was really thoughtful", I said. He then told me, "Take these back to their room for now, we'll find a place for you to sleep later" I smiled at him, and walked back to the room again. I placed the bags on the ground beside Hyunjin's bed, and I sat down beside him.

I was now processing the fact that I would live with them for a month. This is gonna be so exciting! Oh my god, OH MY GOD. I'M LIVING WITH STRAY KIDS FOR A MONTH. OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD.

I was so wrapped up in my thoughts, I didn't notice the expression on my face revealing what I was thinking. The boys were trying to hold their laughter to be nice, but they couldn't. I blushed, embarrassed. Seungmin smiled and said "Think of us as your elder brothers. No need to be embarrassed".

Without me realizing it, I went right up to him and gave him a hug. He chuckled and hugged me back. "We'll all take care of you when we get back. For now, prepare for a week with the Aussie's". He started laughing evilly, and Minho joined in. I let go of him and stepped back, puzzled and a but worried. "Stop scaring her!" Hyunjin exclaimed. "Don't worry, you'll be fine. They're good people". I laughed at this, already knowing what he told me. "I trust them. And by the way, what could go wrong?"

The boys exchanged glances once again, and looked at me. They were smirking, as if A LOT could go wrong.

I didn't know it at the time, but they were right.
