Arsalan's POV:

I smiled coming out of bathroom. I didn't wear my shirt as I know my wife will come after cleaning the kitchen. I opened our cupboard to take out my night dress. After taking it out I walked towards the mirror. I wore my loose trouser and picked up the T-shirt to wear it when I heard someone's voice. My eyes widened hearing her gasp. I turned towards her only to see her looking at me with wide eyes. My heart beat increased thinking about the coming situations.

"Arsh." I came back to reality when I heard her voice. I looked at her who was looking at me with teary eyes still standing at the doorway. I was about to wear my Tee again when she said.

"Arsh stop." Without giving any importance to her words I wore my T-shirt while she walked towards me and glared at me.

"Turn around." She said trying to turn me to the other side but I shook my head.

"Nope. I won't." I said firmly and she looked at me with hurt but it didn't affect me. I know I haven't talked to her in that tone ever. But I don't want to lose her by showing the scariest things of my life.

"Please. Just for once." She said in a pleading tone but I didn't say anything.

"I said I don't want to that means I don't. Don't force me, Zubariya. Just go to bed and sleep." I said glaring at her while she looked at me with wide eyes. I sighed. I haven't called her by her name before. She is definitely hurt. I looked at her who was standing there with closed eyes and her tears were flowing down on her pink cheeks. It hurt me but I didn't do anything. I was about to wipe her tears when she held my hand and looked at me with hurt.

"Don't do that. You are the reason behind these tears so let them flow down." She said looking at me with tears flowing down her cheeks while her words were filled with hurt. She went to bed and laid down on her side. I keep standing there for sometime then switched off the lights only to hear her gasp. I switched on the side lamp immediately and found her taking breaths. I laid down beside her and kept looking at the ceiling. I was thinking of ways to convince her when I heard her.

"If you are thinking that I'll leave you for that stupid things then you are wrong. Our bond is not that weak to break down on some past scares." I looked at her who's back was facing me while her body was shaking. I know she is crying for me. I hurt her by talking in that tone. She isn't used to this tone. I know. I moved towards her and hugged her from back. She looked at me over her shoulder then closed her eyes.

"It's a painful past." I whispered thinking about the days where we have suffered. Mom and I. And after that suffered my Dad and still suffering.

"Let me be at least the sharing partner of your pains. I couldn't be there with you but I can be the sharing partner, right?" I heard her voice and she turned towards me. Her nose was red like cherry from crying. Eyes bloodshot.

"You won't cry, right?" I asked and she sighed.

"If it's a painful past isn't it obvious for me to cry." She said rolling her eyes and I smiled at her.

"It is." I said sighing deeply. I started after sometime while she was looking at me playing with my hair.

"My Mom is from Rajsthan. And earlier in Rajasthan child marriage was common. Following the same thing Mom's parents married her when she was 5. It was a game of Doll and Bear for 5 years old kid. But as she grew up she came to know the real meaning of marriage. She came to know that the guy whom she is married has many bad habits. Like drinking, taking drugs and many more. She never wanted to spend her whole life with man like him. And it is obvious. No girl wants that. She talked to her parents about this and they told her that it's not a big deal. He would leave them someday. She believed them at that time. Then around 17 or something she was finally taken to her in law's house. At first some months of her marriage she didn't say anything to the man when he used to come home totally drunk. But when it didn't stop for next six months she started telling him to stop drinking and taking drugs. He didn't give a damn to her words at first but after some months he started torturing her when she said to stop drinking. She didn't say anything about this to anyone. That's how her life went for one year. When he didn't stop his tortures she decided to talk about this with her parents. But the conservative people of that time influenced her parents too. They told her to never keep your leg in their house if you don't want this marriage. She was shocked but then she understood the useless mind of people. Of the society. And then she started her own game to take divorce from that man. She continued to stop him from drinking and he being an alcoholic used to torture her. Then getting fed up with this one day he divorced her and threw her out of his house. Neither her in laws stopped her nor her parents. She was already tortured like a prisoner and then abandoned from her own house. She didn't find a little shelter to live for days. She lived in a small cottage of bamboo near a small area. One day there was a camp of Doctors to treat poor people without any fees. When no one came out of that house for many days Doctors decided to check there themselves. And they found her laying unconscious and blood coming out of her head. They treated her and her condition was not at all good enough to be left alone. Then one of the Doctor called his wife to take her to her own house. She took her to her parent's house and there her mother made a fuss." I sighed imagining the days. Dad told me all these when I asked him.
