Chapter 1: The Bookworm

Dwight's POV

"Kuya Dwight!"

Aish! Nagising ako sa ingay ng makulit at napakaingay kong kapatid. Mas malala sa pa alarm clock ko kung makagising. Ano naman kaya ang problema nito? Kaya nasisira ang araw ko dahil sa kanya ehh.

"What?!" Naiirita kong sabi.

"Kuya Dwight! Yieeee" kinilig pa niyang sabi. Yuck. Gross. Wala na bang pag-asa na tumahimik itong kapatid ko? Hayyyss. What a life!

"Ano ba Dawn?! Bakit ba ang ingay ingay mo?! Don't you know that It is Sunday today? And I am going to rest. Why don't you go straight to the point?! Why do you keep screaming my name?!" Galit kong sabi sa kapatid ko. Natahimik din naman siya. Thank goodness. Pero ilang sandali lang umirit na naman siya. Aigooo!

"Kuya Dwight, kasi nandito si ate Abbey, you know the girl who keeps bugging you." 

"Jin-jja?!"

"Yes kuya, I am not joking around. Nandito si ate Abbey and she's waiting for you downstairs."

"What did you tell her?" I keep praying ang hoping na sana hindi sinabi ng kapatid ko na nandito ako. Alam naman niyang ayaw sa babaing iyon. Pinagtatabuyan na nga pilit paring ipinagpipilitan ang sa sarili sa taong hindi naman siya gusto. Ang kulit niya.

"I told her that you are here." Nagpeace sign siya sabay takbo papalabas sa kwarto ko. You're gonna regret this later Dawn! Just wait and see.

"Yah! You're gonna regret this later Dawn!" Napasapo nalang ako sa aking noo. Walang akong magagawa kundi ang magpakita kay Abbey. Makaligo na nga at nang magakapagbihis para matapos na itong problema ko. What a wonderful day for me isn't it?

Thank goodness. Hindi na niya ako kinulit. At sana magtuloy tuloy na itong payapang buhay ko after I granted her request. I think I have to relax 'cause my mind is worn out already. I am not being OA huhh. Nakakastress talaga kapag kasama siya.

And while I was driving home, I saw the park that gave me many memorable memories with my family- me, my mom, my dad and Dawn. That was time when our parents have time for us to go to the park. But when our business grew larger and have many branches of company all over the world, my parents didn't have time for us. So we grew up without our parents on our side.

And in the midst of my solitude, I saw a girl not that far because she was just infront of me, reading a ton of books. Nerd. Pft. Hahahaha. Hindi naman siya maganda, sakto lang. Am I being judgemental right now? Hahahaha. Sobrang tagal ko na bang hindi nakapunta ng park para malaman na library na pala ito? Kailan pa naging library itong park?

Wait, what on earth did just happened?! Did I just saw her smile? Woah. And did I tell you that she has a wonderful smile? A smile that can make your world stop from rotating. Hahahaha. Baguhin naman natin yung mga sinasabi natin kapag nakita nating ngumiti ang isang babae. Lagi kasing sinasabi na "That smile made my heart stop from beating" hahahaha paulit ulit.
But seriously, she really has a wonderful smile and also it made my world stop from rotating. You won't see her true beauty not unless you saw her smile. And maybe I just judged her based on what I saw earlier.

Salita ako ng salita sa isip ko kaya hindi ko na namalayang nasa harap ko na pala siya. Oops nahuli ata ako.

"Yah, why are you looking at me?"

"Excuse me Miss, are you talking to me?"

"Of course I am talking to you. Isn't it obvious?" Sarcastic na sabi niya.

"Oh sorry, Miss just to remind you that there are many people here in the park. So don't assume that I am looking at you. And how did you say so? Who told you I was looking at you?" Hala mukhang nagalit lalo ata siya sa mga sinabi ko. And hindi ako aamin sa kanya so don't worry guys.

"No one told me that you were looking at me because I actually caught you staring at me." Insert here, serious mode. Hahahaha

"Miss what makes you so sure that I was really looking at you? At library ba itong park para magdala ka ng napakaraming libro?" So ayan ang dami nang tao ang tumitingin sa amin. Hindi siya nakasagot ng ilang segundo.

"First of all, all of us have our own rights when it comes to what to bring and what to do here in the park. At alam kong may karapatan kang tumingin kahit saan mo gustong tumingin. Second, hindi ako lalapit sayo ng walang dahilan because I won't let myself be embarassed infront of many people. And what I don't like is that you are making fun of me just because I look like a nerd and all alone reading tons of book here at park. Well for your information, I am not a nerd, I was just a bookworm person. Excuse me."
Oopss napahiya ako doon ahhh. Wala kasing gumagawa sa akin ng ganoon kundi ang kapatid ko lang.

I hope to see you again Miss Bookworm. Because I became more interested in you. I can't wait to see what will happen when I see you again.

Pagkauwi ko sa bahay dumiretso agad ako sa kwarto at agad na nagbihis. Grabe nakakapagod itong araw na ito. Pasalamat yang kapatid ko at pagod ako kung hindi lagot talaga sa akin yon. Kung hindi kasi dahil sa kanya hindi ko makakasama si Abbey at hindi ko makikipagsagutan sa isang hindi daw nerd na babae. I hope to see her again. I hope tomorrow I will have a wonderful day.
