As the 2 approached the Gas Station they saw that it was extremely quiet. "Alright I would tell you to stay here but I've watched a bunch of movies so that would be really stupid," Aaron told Creed. Then the both of them crept up on the side of the building, Aaron picked up a wrench that was laying on the ground. Creed held onto Aaron's arm as they slowly walked around the building, then they heard voices "I get that I'm trespassing but I have a friend who is on his way here or is dead but I'd like to think he's alive still," Aidan said to an unknown person. "Well your friends dead already, everyone we've sent out never made it back," the voice of an older man replied. Then Aaron and Creed walked around into the gas station quietly, but the door made a ding "Ah shit," Aaron said then he heard a shotgun cocking then a barrel touching his head. "Give me one reason not to blow your head off," a female voice said behind Aaron, Aaron sighed to himself "Well I'm that guy's friend over there," Aaron said then pointing over towards the area Aidan was at. Then he saw Aidan come around the corner with a gun to the back of his head to "You too huh?" Aidan said to Aaron. "What's up with kids and coming here? Y'all are the second group. The first one actually had a handgun not a wrench," the older man said to all of them, then pushing Aidan to the ground "Wait sir how many were there?" Aaron asked him "Um I don't know like 2 or 3 why does it matter to you?" the man asked. Aaron then turned around quickly taking the gun from the girl and pushing her back pointing the gun at the man "What did you do with them?" Aaron yelled at him "You better put that gun down before someone loses their mind quite literally," the man told him. Aidan then rolled out of the barrels eye, but the man just kicked Aidan on the ground, Aaron then pointed the gun at his daughter telling him to "Stop!" demandingly. "Hey hey fine I'll put the gun down just don't hurt her please!" the man then put the gun on the counter behind him, then an older woman came out from the back of the gas station "Quit all that yelling." Aaron looked at her in confusion then at the girl he was pointing the gun at "She does know that I have a gun right?" Aaron asked her "Yeah she doesn't care," the girl replied. "Look kids I see you have a younger one with you so we will let y'all stay the night but by morning you need to leave," the woman told everyone "Miss that's all I want right now," Aidan said to her while against the shelves. Aaron then put the gun on the counter beside him, he went to help up the girl but she just hit his hand away. About an hour passed in silence, the woman walked up to the 3 boys "Im glad y'all decided not to shoot my husband or daughter they both are stubborn people," Aidan looked down holding a comment in "Well I'm glad y'all decided to let us stay for the night," Aaron told her. She nodded then walked away from them heading to the back rooms.
About 2 in the morning Aaron went to the bathroom to take a leak "Well she said that the bathroom worked still," Aaron thought to himself then he walked into the bathroom where the daughter sat on the counter sobbing looking at a picture, Aaron went to walk out "Wait," she said to him, Aaron stopped at the door "Shit. Yeah?" he said then turning around to look at her. She hopped off the counter "Can I ask you something?" she said to him "Only if I can ask you one first," Aaron told her, she then nodded "What's your name?" Aaron asked her. She smiled and replied "Breanna but call me Brie," Aaron nodded "Alright what was your question?" she then turned around to face the mirror looking at him through it. "Do you think we can make it out of this, this ending world?" she asked him, Aaron walked to one of the stalls and leaned against it "To be honest with you. I don't know. But if we keep fighting maybe there will be an end to this Brie." Aaron told her, she nodded "But what about the people around us?" Brie asked him, Aaron looked down at his feet "I don't think everyone gets to make it," Aaron told her "I've already seen half of my friends die today," he told her. She turned around to look at him "Well now you've got a new friend Aaron," Brie told him smiling, Aaron looked up at her "Thanks."
