"carina, wake up babe!"

carina turned over to my side of the bed, which i was sitting up on poking her side. it was already about 1 pm, she had slept in very late today. i on the other hand had been awake since like 10 am.

"yes ashton?"

"it's already 1 pm and plus i want to talk about something"

"is everything alright?"

she had sat up and looked concerned. but at the same time she looked adorable with her messy hair and pajamas which happened to just be one of my band shirts and shorts, but to me that was perfect to me.

"yea i just had an idea"

"and what's that?"

"well today after we go out to eat or something i was wondering if you wanted to get some kind of matching tattoo.... i think it would be cute, having like a little anchor on each of our wrists or something or mayb-"

carina cut me off.

"that actually sounds really cute"

i smiled as she said that and pulled her up off the bed and hugged her.

"so do you like the idea of the anchors... or would you want something else?"

"i like the idea of anchors"

"good because i do too"

"now go get ready so we can get something to eat, and we'll look for a picture of an anchor for our tattoos while we're there"

"okay ash"

"okay 'c'"

she giggled and quickly got ready.

we ended up just going to a small little cafe by our house, but it was cute. we sat at a table by the window so the light landed on us.

"so do you like this one?"

i showed her a picture of an anchor on my phone. it was small and simple, no intricate designs or anything.

"i really like that!"

"okay babe well after we're done we'll head over to the tattoo shop"

she smiled and leaned over the table and tried to kiss me but ended up knocking over her coffee.

we both jumped back as it fell, it didn't get on our clothes but it did spill everywhere on the floor.

"oh my god im sorry!"

"babe it's okay it wasn't your fault"

i giggled and walked over to her and cupped her face and kissed her before I went and cleaned up the mess.

we walked out of the cafe hand in hand and we got into my car.

we arrived at the tattoo shop about 20 minutes later. as we got out of the car I pulled out my phone with the picture and carina came over to me and held onto my hand tightly.

"babe are you sure about this? you seem scared"

"im sure, it's just that I've never gotten a tattoo before"

"it's not that bad don't worry, ill go first and then you'll go, and ill hold your hand through the whole thing okay?"

"thank you"

i smiled and we walked into the building.

the guy behind the counter was the guy who did my tally marks tattoo so we were familiar with each other which was good.

"hello, today my lovely wife and i would like to get this anchor tattooed on us today"

"okay that seems great. here come with me and we'll print out your design"

we followed the guy to the back of the shop and he printed out the design twice.

i then sat down in the chair and put my left wrist on the counter so he could do the tattoo. carina sat next to me and held my hand and watched as the guy started the tattoo.

it only took the guy about 5 minutes to finish because the tattoo was so small.

"see carina it isn't that bad!"

we looked down at my new tattoo and we both smiled.

"are you ready?"

"yes"

she sat down in the chair and also put her left wrist up on the counter. the guy started her tattoo and i squeezed her hand making sure she was okay.

"you okay?"

"yea, it just hurts a little"

"okay babe"

finally the guy finished her tattoo and we put our wrists up to each other. she kissed me and then we paid the guy and left the tattoo shop hand in hand.

once we got home we took pictures of our tattoos and posted pictures on Instagram, instantly getting comments and likes saying things like

'aw how cute!'

'i love these'

and

'the anchors are so cute'

i hugged carina and lifted her off her feet and started twirling her around. she started giggling.

"ash! what are you doing?"

"i just love you a lot that i thought I needed to do that"

"aw. you're really cute you know"

"but not as cute as you c"

"i love you so much"

"i love you more!"

"oh don't you start that ashton"

i started giggling and kissed carina.

i then got a text from calum.

calum:

'hey you want to come over and explain to us why you guys have tattoos now?!'

ashton:

'lol okay sure. we'll be over in 5'

calum:

'okay'

"carina calum wants us to go over and explain our tattoos"

she laughed

"okay let's go"

so now it's about 11 pm and carina and i just got home from calums house. we put band aids over our tattoos so they wouldn't get infected and we cuddled up in bed.

"boop!"

carina said and booped my nose.

"huh?"

"i just booped your nose!"

"okay c. well im tired so im gonna sleep"

"okay ash. im tired too"

"love you"

"love you more"

"don't even dare"
