CHAPTER 2 :: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

S.hane's POV

"Shaneeee!" My best friend shouted on the phone. She sounds so excited about today. Why? Because...

"Hello?" I pretended to be confused on why she's acting like so excited and happy. "Hey, Melody why are you shouting?" I asked and I heard her sigh on the phone. Well, that was just a prank! Who'll forget her best friend's special day, ah? Not me!

"I'm just kidding! Of course I knew. Happy birthday, Melody!" I giggled and greeted her happily. She laughs softly because of what I did. But welp, that's just simple!

I saw the time and I almost freaked out. It's already twelve in the afternoon? How come?! OMG, I woke up so late!

I immediately went outside of my room and took a bath, prepared everything and when everything's ready, I went out of the house. I'm so excited for today! Who would forget the— AAAAAAAAAAA!

I screamed inside my car noticing that I forgot my gift for Melody. I quickly went inside the house and gets the fancy paperbag in my room. That contains my gift for her! That's so special, that's why I kept it inside a cabinet but then I forgot to get it before I get out. I sighed. How silly.

I went out of the house again and got ready. Went inside my car and drove fast! Of course, we planned things like this before! It's a good things that there's no traffic, I went fast here in the venue and it's simple yet elegant!

Oops, by the way! I wear simple outfit too. This will be a memorable birthday celebration for sure! Mhm, where is she by the way? She told me that I have to be here at 12:30 PM. I mean, not too late but supposedly she should've been here much earlier than me because this place is nearer— ah, nevermind! I think there she is!

I ran towards her car, waited her to get outside of it. But... huh? Why is her hair blonde? Did she dye her hair? Mhm, she told me she doesn't like to do that.

It's like a slow-mo thing when someone went outside her car. I startled to see a different girl with a smirk on her face. I slowly walked backwards to stay away from her. I don't even know her, why would she get here? I thought this is just me and Melody? Why—

"Oh, Shane." She walks closer to me as I walk backwards. "I didn't know you're also invited here." She chuckles. I don't know what to say, it feels like I want to speak but there are no words popping up in my head.

"Hey, why won't you speak up? Have you seen Melody?" She pouts, "She told me that I have to go here today." She added. But wait, isn't she aware that it is Melody's birthday today and I am the only one who's allowed to go here? Psh. If only I can say those words directly to this girl right now, but I can't. Am I afraid to roast this girl now? No. Of course not.

"C-come on! It's her b-birthday today! Didn't you—"

"Of course I knew. That's why I went here. Oh, look! Me and Melody have the same car model. Isn't that nice? Of course, best friend goals!" She happily said that made me upset a little bit. Oh yeah, best friend goals. Okay.

"By the way, you are her classmate, right? Maybe that's why she invited you here also." She chuckled.

After the long nonsense shits she said, I left her and went somewhere else. It's a park actually. And there's a mini-garden in it. That's where I went to calm down and breathe. I felt kind of embarrased when that girl flexed her car to me and told me about her and Melody's best friend girls. Oh, that's why I thought she's my best friend already but then she ain't. I don't even know her.

I saw something in here. Wait, a food? I walked towards it and it was on a blanket. It's like a picnic thing! I looked around and made sure no one is here. I sat down in front of it and slowly opened the pail on the blanket. It contains many foods in it.

I was about to get some when I felt something cracked on my head. "Gotcha!" Someone shouted and laughed behind me. "Shh, shh. Get the flour." I heard their whispers that made me stood up and face them.

They made fun of me and got their phones and took a video of me. What's funny? Is it because there's an egg yolk and flour all over my body? I feel embarrased once again and I felt pissed off. I want to beat them up and put all of the foods in the pail for revenge. But still, I can't.

Things rapidly happened, I don't know. I didn't see Melody today, is this even a happy birthday gift for her? She doesn't deserve this. What if that girl texted her and told her not to come? Argh. Even the gift that I got for Melody was stolen by that girl. She just snatched the paperbag in my hand and she left. I sighed. I should surprise her tomorrow, though it's not her birthday tomorrow. Like a belated birthday surprise slash gift. That would be happy, right?

It is already 9PM. You know what happened that time I was tricked? They made fun of me, they ate all of the foods in the pail, they snatched the paperbag and left and I even asked somebody for help but no one came. I spent all of my time finding for a bathroom to clean myself but there's nothing. I feel like I'm about to get sick tomorrow but I wish it won't happen. I won't let it happen. Tsk.

I'm now outside my car, waiting for the rain to go away. Look, am I clean now? Haha, it really is a joke. I'm not expecting to be wet and dirty today. How could I even go inside my car and drive home? That's stupid. I got my phone inside my pocket and it's seems to be all wet too. Wow, what a life?

What should I use to wipe my phone? How could I contact Melody to help me? Tsk. I want to shout and say bad words now.

After thirty minutes I guess, I decided to go inside my car. I think I'm going to disappoint my dad after seeing this car dirty. But that's it. I have to go home or I'll be tortured because of going home late.

I got the keys inside my pocket to, but before starting the car, I felt dizzy and unable to move. Am I paralyzed? Pfft. It is not that insane for me to feel sick right now. Maybe tomorrow! But not now.

I started hearing some unwanted noise in my head and slowly turning into reality. What? The heck am I saying. But I can't still move. My eyes, for sure it wants to close now, but I'm controlling it. I want it to stay open. I felt more dizzy and I'm slowly running out of breath. What the hell is happening? Am I about to faint? Come on, Shane! Wake up!

"Please wake up, please. I'm begging you. I can't lose you, please stay with me. Please wake up, my princess. Please wake up..."
