"FUCKERS! ALL FUCKERS!" Maria shouted at the large screen and Grace hurriedly pulled the remote away and turned off the TV before her mother or big brother throw something at it. 

"That sneaky old man didn't even let us know and got them publically engaged!" Maria was outraged. "Right under our noses! The whole world knew except his own family! Look at this! He proposed to him in front of the cameras with a romantic atmosphere and all and they tell me it's a business deal?! Oh, how embarrassed I am! How will I face my social circle! We're not even in the press conference!"

Wayo sat quietly, not listening to his mother's rants. His mind was still stuck at the picture shown on the screen, the beautiful open-air atmosphere, the lights, the flowers, the lanterns in the air, and how handsome Forth looked as he knelt on the ground with a ring in his hand. But the fairytale image broke in pieces when he remembered it was Beam in the picture who was smiling with tears in his eyes, not him.

'That fucking bastard played me!' he thought to himself with anger. 

Ben walked into the house, closely followed by Ming, both smiling with content looks on their faces. It was finally done, the way the PR teams for both companies planned it. The grand and very public proposal covered by media and then the press conference to announce the engagement, all in one day, along with the headlines, everything just the way Forth wanted it to be. 

Ben was just happy as Forth agreed to all his demands for his son's future and the happy look on Beam's face, the one he hadn't seen ever since he made that stupid mistake that brought Maria, Wayo, and Grace in their lives, not that he didn't love his daughter but it was also true, no way in hell would he look at any other woman except his late wife, let alone marry a housemaid if one day he didn't somehow wake up in bed with a massive hangover and crying naked woman beside him. He remembered being a great father to his son. Once. They were even best friends. He was the person Beam came to, asking for help about how he was attracted to men and women alike and how much it confused him. But then, Beam pulled himself away from him. Maria slowly turned them both against each other all the while pushing her own son closer to him. But it was all his own fault, not someone else's. 

"How could you!" Maria cried out seeing her husband. "You didn't even tell me! You went public with Forth and Beam and this Ming but not your family! How could you? Sole heir? Is that what he is? A sole heir?" she went on. "Then what about Grace and Wayo?"

Ben looked at her coldly before turning to Wayo. Somehow, the look he gave woke Wayo from all his dreams and made him gulp. Ben stared intimidatingly at him. "First thing first, Wayo isn't my son, hope you haven't forgotten that"

Maria opened her eyes wide at that comment, even Wayo's head snapped towards Ben. Ben had never made Wayo feel left out or like an outsider in the family. He welcomed him into the family with open arms. He would've made this family a big happy unit but it was Maria who broke it up, who built walls between father and son, made Beam walk out on his father, made Ben think his son didn't love or care for him.
