I woke up by the sound of alarm clock that went off like a bomb. I groaned and started mumbling random things to myself like I hate school or I hate Mondays or I hate Maths blah blah. I yawned pulling my covers back and swung my legs over the right side of the bed. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth first. Then I jumped into the shower. It was nice feeling though, letting the warm water running across my body giving me pleasure and a fresh feeling. That previous weekend was really boring as my mom got sick and I had to wash all the dishes every night. Well anyways it was Brent’s first day in school today so I hope everything’s going to be alright and he will adjust easily. I got out of the shower, all these thoughts running in my mind. I changed into my school uniform and tied my hair into a high ponytail. I picked my bag from my study table and wore my shoes. I went downstairs, straight into the kitchen. The time was half past 7 so I had 15 minutes left
"Morning” I greeted mom giving her a warm smile.
“Morning dear!” she smiled back.
“You seem tired” she asked worriedly.
“Yes I studied late night yesterday. Thanks to you” I sarcastically replied and she playfully rolled her eyes.
I sat on the breakfast table and started to eat fried egg quickly.
"Do you want milkshake?” my mom asked while sitting opposite side of the table. I shook my head.
“Mom I gotta go I’m getting late” I said grabbing a sandwich from the table and ran towards the door
“Bye hun have a great day at school! Mommy loves you” She shouted from behind. I didn’t reply back.
Hopefully I wasn’t late for school otherwise I would have received a massive lecture from Mr Thomas. Unfortunately my first period was Mathematics. I went into my Maths class and there I found Brent, a sweet smile on his face.
“Hey Hazelnut” he waved giving me a small hug.
“Wassup?”
“This place is weird” he nervously answered
"Is someone nervous?” I teased him.
“Shut up”
“I was just kidding believe me you’ll like this place” I patted on his back.
"Yeah right” he sarcastically said.
“Hiii awesome nerd” Grace shouted and ran towards me hugging me tightly. Kailey and Amber entered after few moments.
“Hey guys” I waved and they waved back smiling.
