Maeve's POV:

Year 6. Hogwarts. I couldn't be more excited for what this year will bring.

Walking into the grand wooden doors from the outside was always a good feeling. I spent the summer back home with my family and best friend, Charlotte.

Charlotte, she's my best friend obviously. Her mother and father being muggles, push her away. That is why she always comes to my house during the break. Even though my parents are purebloods, they love Charlotte as their very own.

The cold breeze nipped my nose as the big doors opened. We walked in, hand in hand, with our other hands carrying onto our felines, mine named Liliana and Charlottes was named Luna.

We went straight to our dorm, opening up the door to see our old room again.

"Man have I missed this bed." Charlotte says, plopping herself on the edge of it.

"Me too... i'm definitely not gonna miss the beds we had to put up with back home, they were bloody awful." I reply, flopping my whole body onto the bed, looking up.

I truly did miss this room. The ceilings were covered in stars and moons that Char and I stuck up there in year 4. The windows were big, with flower pots and plants placed along the rim. We also had the best view of the garden.

"Come on, let's go meet the boys. They told us to meet them at the usual spot."

I knew exactly where she was talking about.

Since year 3, me and char met three boys on the train ride. Now, it being year 6, we are still very close. Maybe a bit too close at times.

We walked down, both of us in sweats and tank tops, to the outside spot. The garden smelt just how I remembered. Like lavender, honey, citrus, and soil. Oh how I adored that smell.

"Took you two long enough." The tall, platinum blonde haired boy said, jumping down from the tree.

Our spot; a big tree, near the lake. No one could see us unless they were boating or some shit.

"Sorry sorry, our train ride was delayed." Char says, sitting on the tree stump.

"Bet you boys missed us, didn't you." I state, walking towards the brown haired, lean boy.

He pulls me into a hug saying while chuckling, "Ya, ya whatever."

The three musketeers; Draco Malfoy. Practically king of slytherin.

Lorenzo Berkshire. Draco's right hand man, except Enzo has more respect and care for others.

And finally, Blaise Zabini. The boy who doesn't give a fuck about anyone's opinion.

"You guys ready for this year, I can already tell it's gonna be fucking amazing." Blaise utters, laying down on the grass.

We all lay down next to one another. Char next to me and Enzo, Draco next to me and Blaise, I in the middle. This. This is what I missed. The mighty 5, the gang back together.

And the fact that they accept me in their group is even more special. Oh yeah, I'm a ravenclaw, didn't I tell you?

They didn't really have a choice though, draco made sure of it. Draco and I are actually cousins. We would always hang out when we were children. And when we went to Hogwarts, it was still the same. When I met Charlotte in year 3, then Blaise and Enzo in year 4 on the train ride with Draco, we all just clicked.

I turn my head to see Charlotte slightly staring at Enzo. Of course I saw that coming. She makes it so damn obvious sometimes. But I think it's cute.

I turn the other way to see draco, smiling, while looking at the sky. Draco never really smiled. He only did when we were little or now, when we are like this.

I return back, looking up.

Silence.

But a comforting silence.

I just want to stay like this. Just for a little longer.
