TW: mentions of sexual assault.

Maeve's POV:

I didn't completely lie to George. I was going to the library, but not for the reason he thinks.

I walked in, and barely no one was in there. Good.

I strolled over to the librarian where she sat, slumped into her chair while reading an old book. Her hair was neatly tied back into a bun, and her glasses sat on the bridge of her nose.

"Hi, miss, I just wanted to ask a quick question," I whisper, not wanting to disrupt such a serene place.

"How can I help you dear," she says with a calming smile.

"Where are the books about love potions?"

"Oh, that'll be on the 6th row on the left hand side."

"Thank you."

Before I could step away, she said, "May I ask why you are looking for such a book?"

"Oh, I think my friend was love potioned by a guy, just want to read up on it."

"Alright dear," she states, going back to her book.

I tip toe slowly down the library; a few kids are reading or studying so I just want to be respectful.

I get to the 6th aisle and turn my head to see someone with their back facing me.

Someone I thought would be the last person I would see here.

It's George.

I quickly turn the corner to the 5th row, with my back against the book stack. I inhale, turning back to the 6th row. But my head was bombarded with someone's chest.

I look up to see.

Huh?

It's Fred.

Why is Fred here?

"Maeve, I am so happy to see you," Fred announces with a slight smile.

"You are?"

"Ya cau- wait, why are you here?"

"Look, I'm gonna be honest..."

I walked into aisle 6 and sat down on the floor up against the bookshelves. Fred followed, sitting across from me against the other book stack.

"Last night seemed off, and today I've been feeling weird. I love George but then I think, do I really? I may be crazy bu-"

"No you aren't, you aren't at all. I thought the same... When I asked you to choose between me and him, and you chose him, I was completely heartbroken. But the more I thought about it, something isn't adding up-"

"Exactly! That's why I came here, to read up on love potions... I think George added it to my drink."

"Here, look at this," Fred says, getting up and sitting next to me with a book in hand titled 'Potions and What Not'.

"It says that love potions tend to wear off after 24 hours... that must be why you were starting to get more and more suspicious, since it's slowly wearing off," Fred says while looking up at me from the book.

"That makes total sense, that must be why George was so demanding when he asked me to come to hogsmeade today, he wanted to drug me again-"

"Wait, demanding? Did he hurt you?"

"No Fred, i'm alright, but i'm glad we are on the same page... and for the record, when you asked me to choose between you two, my mind was saying George but-"
