chapter 1: a new life

Ezra pov:

There I was, sitting there meditating on my lu,put bed in my... Our cahin. I was slightly floating in the air thinking about one thing and one thing only... Sabine! I loved her so much. We made no awesome team, everyday we worked together to bust up those bucket heads on the battlefield, everyday I trust her with my life. And she does the same. I couldn't take it anymore the only other one who knew i loved Sabine was Kanan, and he didn't know because either told him, he knew because of my embarrassing stupid thoughts. One day some time ago Sabine was carrying me I just had to go off and think about how beautiful she was, or mostly how beautiful her lips looked with her helmet off. Kanan sensed it and made me have a long awkward and uncomfortable chat on how 'it's not healthy to keep emotions in.' Maybe Kanan was right, maybe I should tell her. What could go wrong? I opened my eyes and got out of my bed. I ran out in the hallway and looked out the windows to see tan grasses flowing, we have landed on Lothal. He jumped away from the windows and practically ran into Hera.

"Hera, have you see Sabine, it's urgent!"

"Hmm, yes I believe she sent down to the surface to take a breather outside. She seems to be really stressed out lately, why do you need to see her?" Hera asked.

I only heard one word out of the sentence, surface. I ran down ignoring Here's question not that I heard it in the first place and leaped down the ramp. I frantically searched for her, she was on the opposite side of the ship so I ran to her. By the time I caught up to her I was panting out of breath.

"Sabine i... I need to tell you... tell you that... ooh boy I got to sit down." Sabine looked at him confused as he fell on to the floor. She kneeled by his side to speak.

"I have a feeling that you needing to sit isn't what you wanted to tell me Ezra, so? Go on..."

I took a moment and caught my breath before looking he rin the eyes and saying "Sabine... I love you. From the moment I met you I knew you were the girl for me. Will you be my girlfriend?" She blushed a little before saying

"I love you to Ezra..."

I smiled and leaned in for a kiss but stopped when he heard Sabine continue to speak.

"But not in that way. I do love you... like a little brother."

We both looked at our feet for what felt like a century of heartbreak and despair. I have never been so humiliated in my life. After that we both walked separately up the ramp of the ghost to see an eager Kanan and Hera.

"Sooooo... how'd it go?" Kanan asked.

"It didnt." Was my simple response. Me and Sabine turned the other way and walked off. I couldn't stay here I just couldnt. It would be to hard to face her everyday and with Hera and Kanan always asking annoying questions. I had to leave sooner or later but now thanks to my stupid instincts, it was sooner. Tonight! Tonight I would pack my things and sneak out. Later that night it was about midnight and everyone was asleep. He packed before during dinner which he skipped due to someone being there, hint Sabine. I slowly lowered the ramp with my stuffed to the brim backpack. Seriously my backpack looked like it was about to explode. I ran down the ramp and darted to town, luckily no one noticed me yet. According to my well though out plan they wouldn't jot ice I was gone until the next morning and by then it'll be to late. WAIT A MINUTE!!! If I leave my crew then that means I will never be a jedi... oh what have I done! It was to late to turn back now, the ramp to the ghost just closed. What am I going to do... I'm stuck alone... no Kanan... no Hera......... no Sabine. All I could do was start walking and see where that takes me. I moved my yellowish hood over my head and had my head hung low in case an imperial spots me. I walked aimlessly through town getting a couple glares as usual, a couple shrugs but this one guy stood out to me. I felt him through the force, his eyes were staring at me not with anger, but curiosity. It was starting to freak me out so I went into the nearest place I could find. I ran down the stairs and found I was in a bar away from that creepy man. Although when I turned around I knew I wasn't out of the woods yet. 3 imperial stormtroopers came towards me.
