CHAPTER SEVEN

-LEI’S POV-

Niall’s expression contorted into bland after I confessed him the truth, but he eventually begins to laugh hysterically.

“That’s a funny joke.” He said, chuckling.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him and pouted.

“It’s not a joke niall” I told him.

His smile dropped and his eyes were starting to gather tears. He turned around and started pacing back and forth.

I knew he was hurt by this but; he really needs to know the truth. It’s better to tell the ugly truth than a beautiful lie that would soon be an ugly nightmare.

“Nialler” I said quietly.

He hushed me and spoke.

“Please! You’ve said enough” he said, his voice cracking.

“Niall, please just listen” I begged.

He turned around to face me angrily as I readied myself on what he was going to do next.

“Listen? Listen for what?! Why do I have to listen for? Huh?” he snapped.

“Niall, I like you more than I like my boyfriend but, I can’t leave him bec-“

“Can you please just stop talking?!” he said blunt and I nodded.

My eyes are starting to gather tears as I just stood on the corner stopping the tears from falling.

“TIME IS UP! TEN MINUTES IS OVER!!” Louis yelled from the outside.

Niall’s expression was cold as he made his way to the door but before he can even hold the door knob, I grabbed his arm to stop him from leaving.

“I’m sorry” I said my voice cracking.

He just shooked his head and made his way out, slamming the closet door leaving me alone, in the silent closet room as I break down to the ground and cried my eyes out.

I can hear them asking niall what happened as I just cried even more.

Moments later, el, Sophia and Perrie barged in the closet as I remained in my position, crying. I can hardly breathe from crying as I search for air, looking up at them.

“What happened babe?” el asked concern.

I didn’t say anything back; I just continued crying but this time, even harder.

They picked me up from the ground and hugged me until my tears have subsided and I smiled at them in which they returned.

“Thank you guys” I told them in between breaths.

 “Anything for you love. We, girls, will always be there for you no matter what” Sophia said.

“You got that right!  Don’t you worry about niall okay? We got this” Perrie said.

 “Yeah, besides niall doesn’t get angry for a long time, he’ll soon forgive you from whatever the reason was” El told me patting my back and I nodded.

And with this, we made our way out of the closet and into the living room.

I can’t help but think what would happen to me and niall on the next few days I mean, we’re only living in one roof!

 I also wonder would happen to ‘us’ and our feelings for each other. Would he still feel the same after what I had just told him? Do we still have a chance? Will we ever have a chance? Only fate knows about this or maybe, niall.
