Officer: Hello Ms. Hayes, thank you for coming in today. I understand your situation must have been quite traumatic.
Hayes: Of course.
Officer: Let's get started shall we? Can you describe your relationships with the victims and the killers for me?
Hayes: Uh yeah, sure. Well Casey and Steve, the first victims... I didn't know them too well. I was closer with Steve out of the two of them. I tutored him on Fridays after school.
Officer: Right. No relationship with Casey?
Hayes: Not much of one. She seemed nice, that's all I know.
Officer: Alright, continue.
Hayes: Tatum. She was one of my friends. Close friends. We argued all the time but I saw her as a sister, honestly. So I guess the petty squabbles make sense. Do you want me to talk about Sid? I know she's well... still alive but-
Officer: Sure, why not.
Hayes: She was another close friend. It was like she just automatically understood me. We clicked immediately.
Officer: I see. And the killers?
Hayes: Billy and Stu. Billy uh, he and I were never really that close. We're really similar, but in a way that made us butt heads more than get along. But we were friends.
Hayes: And Stu... he's my- he was my boyfriend.
Officer: Ah. I understand if this is painful to discuss, take your time.
Hayes: Thank you. He and I were really close. I really loved him, you know? I- I'm sorry, this is hard to talk about.
Officer: It's alright, would it be easier if I asked you some questions instead?
Hayes: Sure, go ahead.
Officer: Do you believe he had any motive for the murders?
Hayes: None that I can think of. I mean, I heard a rumor that Casey was an ex-girlfriend of his. But everyone else? No.
Officer: Interesting. And you are aware that he has been missing since the final night of the attacks?
Hayes: Yes.
Officer: Any ideas on where he might've gone to?
Hayes: None sir, I'm sorry. They've already checked his grandparents' house and that would be my only guess.
Officer: Understood. Well in that case, would you mind starting from the beginning for me? Maybe the day of Casey and Steve's murder?
