Chapter 45 - Flashback

Flashback to Jimin's and Jungkook's talk

30 minutes later Jungkook arrived at Jimin's house. He was nervously straightening his shirt with sweaty hands. He fixed his hair one last time before reaching out to the bell while shaking.

The second he ringed it, he took one last deep breath to calm his nerves. Jungkook was really nervous. He just wanted to fix all his stupid mistakes and hoped that Jimin will give him a second chance. A chance to explain and a chance to show him his real feelings.

A few seconds later the door opened and Jungkook felt his heart skipping a step. There was Jimin standing with puffy, red eyes and swollen cheeks. His hair was messy as if he just woke up and he was wearing an oversized sweater and shorts.

Both of them were just staring at eachother for a few seconds and no one could utter a single word. Jungkook made the first move.

"Darling..." he whispered and took a step closer to the shorter male. Jimin's lips started to whobble and his eyes were getting teary. Jungkook immediately engulfed him in a big hug, a choked sob could be heard.

"I am so fucking sorry darling" the taller whispered while stroking the shorter's back comfortingly. Jimin just digged his face in the taller's neck and continued crying heavily. His whole body was shaking and also Jungkook couldn't contain his tears anymore. Everything Was just so overwhelming in that moment and both of them felt so emotional.

The boys were standing there for like 10 minutes just hugging eachother and crying. After a while Jungkook slowly backed out of the hug and placed his hands on Jimin's cheeks to whipe his tears. The shorter unconsciously leaned into his touch and closed his now tired eyes. He still didn't say a word and then just took Jungkook's hand to lead him to the couch to sit down.

They two sat next to eachother but didn't let go of their hands. Jungkook took a deep breath and cleared his throat.

"Are you okay? Ready to talk?" he asked carefully and Jimin just nodded.

"Okay... so at first, I am so so so sorry. I know that a sorry wont really fix anything or make the things that happend undo. I cant even explain properly why I said all of those stupid things. I want you to know that not a single thing I said was true. You are an amazing, beautiful, cute, caring, funny and wonderful person. The moment I realised that I am deeply attracted to you,  I just panicked. I never ever felt this way before and I also never experienced getting that much love and attention of a boy. We were literally strangers when we first met and you were just so nice despite all those hurtful things I said before. I didn't know how to react and during our meet up I just felt so safe and at peace. Something I didn't even feel at home with my family.
I got so confused afterwards and mad at myself for being a such dick before and wanted to apologize for everything after talking to Joon. But then I remembered something my dad teached me when I was younger... well let's just say he is pretty homophobic. I let myself get influenced by his words for a second and just lashed out on you. I always had some temper issues. I know that's not an excuse for my words but I really really regret everything a lot.
I want you to know that I really like you, maybe even love you... if you are willing to accept my love and apology. I would literally do anything to get a second chance and to fix my huge, stupid mistakes" Jungkook finished and took a deep breath.

Jimin stopped crying in the meantime and listened to every of Jungkook's words with caution. At the time the taller finished his little monologe, Jimin looked at him. It was silent for a while and the smaller one let every word sink in.

"... I forgive you" he whispered almost inaudible.

"What?" Jungkook muttered, making sure his ears weren't betraying him.

"I forgive you Jungkook" A smile spread on the tallers face and he tackled Jimin in a tight hug.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much!" he said against the smallers neck. He took a deep breath to inhale the sweet scent of the boy.

They stayed like that for several minutes. They just felt safe and comfy in eachothers arms. After a while Jimin backed out of their hug and looked in Jungkook's eyes.

"I wanna give it a try..." he said holding eye contact. The taller one smiled.

"Gladly... Park Jimin, will you be my boyfriend?" Jungkook asked with the biggest hope in his eyes.

Jimin smiled the brightest he has ever smiled and nodded his head eagerly. Jungkook placed his right hand on the smaller cheek and stroked it with his thumb.

"You are gorgeous darling" he mutterd. Jimin blushed in a deep shade of red and looked down.

Jungkook took the smaller's chin and lifted it up. He looked deeply into the other's eyes and then at his plump lips. He slowly leaned in and saw that Jimin was closing his eyes softly. He took that as an okay sign and placed his lips on the soft ones of the other male. In that exact moment both of them felt thousands of butterflies and fireworks erupting in their stomaches. It was magical.
