🔵Gabe's POV🔵
"Are you a parking ticket? Cause you've got fine written all over you." I say confidently with a smirk. I wince a little at the pathetic pick up line, before trying another.
"Your lips look so lonely. Would they like to meet mine?" I say bitting my bottom lip seductively. Shit no, that's horrible.
"Ok, ok. Since we've been told to reduce waste these days, we should use these condoms in my pocket before they expire. Fuck, that's a little dirty." I mumble as I try to think of the pick up lines that have worked in the past. I grip the sides of the tiny basin in the bathroom as I groan in annoyance.
Pick up lines are more Zacks thing than mine. He likes to joke around and make them blush. I have Zack to thank for my inner pick up line book.
"Hey, look!" Zack giggles pointing to the other side of the room. "Pretty ladies at 1:24 o'clock." He says looking down at the watch on his wrist.
"That's not how it works dumbass." Travis mutters rolling his eyes, most likely contemplating why the hell he was still with us.
Without a doubt, Trav was the most rational and responsible person on the premises. That's to be expected of tonight's designated driver.
"Stop talking Magic Trav." Zack slurres, trying to put his index finger to his friends lips to silence him. I snicker at the name Zack has been calling Travis all night. According to Zack, Magic Trav is Magic Mikes long lost cousin. "We-we should talk to them." He whispers to me. I looked over to the four girls near the couch that's outlining the home made dance floor. They're giggling amongst themselves, looking like they've had a few drinks too many.
"Nah they're all yours buddy." I decline feeling too tipsy to bother. I down the remaining liquid in my red solo cup as I watch Zack push through the dancing teens to the other side of the room.
"This'll be entertaining. Come on." Trav says gesturing for me to follow him.
"Hey what do you reckon is easier? You getting into those tight jeans or me getting you out of them?" I hear Zach ask as we approach. He gives the blondie on the end of the couch a smirk. She gives him a flirtatious smile in return, not bothering to look over at her friends for approval.
"I don't know, why don't we go find out?" She asks taking his hand and walking him upstairs.
"How the fuck?" I hear Trav mumble beside me.
"Oh my god, remember that one." I laugh with Trav.
I squeeze my eyes shut, feeling a head ache coming on.
Why am I thinking so much about this? Just do what you usually do. I don't need Zack's pick up lines to get the flight attendant. Just charm her like you would any other girl.
But Blake's here. Hopefully she doesn't do anything stupid.
She's so annoying. We're only a few hours into the trip, and I'm seriously already thinking about murder.
I release my grip from the basin when I notice how white my knuckles are. I run my hands through my hair, fixing my quiff as I try to calm myself.
I should just grab the flight attendant and spend the remainder of the flight in here. I'm sure she'll love it.
Blake, or anyone else for that matter, won't be able to disturb us.
I let out a breath as I look up to the rectangular mirror above the basin.
"Ugggh, whatever." I mumble as I unlock and open the bathroom door.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I look up with a frown to see the flight attendant walking my way. "How dare you use women like that? You sick, womanising pig." She spits in my face only loud enough for me to hear.
"What are you talking about?" I ask frowning.
"You only see women as objects, free to your disposal."
"I don't know what you're talki-" I start having the need to defend myself.
"Guys like you make me sick. You think with your dick." She sneers in disgust, making me wonder where her bubbly self went. The one that spoke the rehearsed safety lines and helped me put my seat belt on.
"What is th-" I try, but she cuts me off yet again.
"You know if you weren't an asshole, we would've hooked up." She says folding her arms across her chest. I'd be lying if I said this feisty side of the flight attendant wasn't a turn on.
I know I'll just be proving her point, but I think it's time to bring out the big guns.
"You're right." I sigh in defeat, admitting every word she said about me is true. "But when I remember how things used to be, it hurts and I just can't handle the pain inside. I guess I get with girls to distract myself from the past." I lie, looking up at the flight attendant through my lashes. My words definitely catch her off guard as she looks at me in surprise and confusion.
"W-what happened in the past?" She stutters, taking the bait.
"It hurts when I talk about it." I mumbled continuing the improvised sob story. I bite my lip and pretend I'm trying to hold back tears. This is definitely not the proudest moment of my life.
"Aww, it's ok." She say coming closer. "You can tell me."
"I loved her you know?" I begin. "I thought we were soul mates." I try not to gag at my own pathetic words. "And then-and then she-" I stop to let out a breath, as though I'm struggling to come to terms with the tragic event in my life.
"Go on." She whispers close to my ear, her hand finding its way to my shoulder. She slowly rubs my bicep trying to comfort me.
"And then I found her cheating on me. I was devastated." I pause dramatically, locking eyes with the engaged flight attendant. "I snapped; I changed. And I know for worse. Sleeping with girls is the only distraction that seems to work." I finish. Caitlin is inches away from me. During my speech she seems to have moved closer to me. Our noses are practically touching as she breaths in the air that leaves my mouth. She bite her lip as she grabs my hand.
She steps back, her hand still gripping mine, and continues walking backwards taking me towards the bathroom I just exited. She only takes her eyes off me to open the door. But while her head was turned, I glance down the plane aisle.
I smirk and give a gaping Blake the finger before I eagerly get dragged into the bathroom.
