Zenitsus pov
ugh..... what's-
"AHHH BOAR MAN!" i sit up almost as soon as that thought hits my head.
"hey, hey! it's ok! it's fine!" i hear that loveable familiar voice. "he's over there," i look over to where he was pointing to.
i see the boar mans body on the floor further away.
"oh....right...."
"no need to worry ok, you just try to rest as much as possible."
"ok, t-thank you,"
"no thank you, you kept the kid and nezuko safe i owe you everything." he said with the most warming smile on his face.
i felt warm and my face went red.
"y-yeah..."
i heard footsteps behind me and turn to see all three of the children.
"thank you zenitsu for looking after my brother." the boy says as he starts tearing up. he runs towards me and hugs me.
so this is what it means to be a demon slayer. to save people. to bring them back home to there family's.
my eyes water. i hug the boy back.
"y-your welcome,"
i am aware that's not always the case and sometimes families with not be reunited, but atleast i can smile through this moment right now. moments like this make me wanna live longer.
"ok then shall we continue with the burial,"
tanjiro says while he look at the other three.
they all rise and walk into with him. he looks back at me and gives me a gentle smile. i can't help but smile back at him. they disappear into the building and come back a few minutes later with bodies. tanjirou holds two over each his shoulders. while the three drag one between them.
i stand on my feet and reach towards the children to help them. as we walk over to the area of the burial. there are multiple holes in the ground big enough for bodies to fit. tanjiro place the bodies in there delicately. even with the dead he's so gentle. he's so perfect. i wonder if he's ever had a partne-
"zenitsu!? i said put that one in there!?"
"AHHH WHAT!" he startled me.
"are you ok is something on your mind?"
yeah, you....
"no no i'm fine, just a bit lagged,"
"ok you can lay down whenever you want,"
i nod my head and continue.

the other one is starting to wake up now. i wonder how he'll act ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
