The Giantess is approaching the town of Vershire with her knight still in her arms, holding him in a sweet embrace. With Ashley becoming such a common sight for the townsfolk, hardly anyone stops to watch as she arrives, which is a huge contrast to the type of welcome she had received when she first arrived with Sir Gabriel. Everyone had thought that she had ill intentions due to her size and Sir Gabriel had to convince everyone to let her walk through the town. Since that day they have learned she is a kind and gentle soul, just as Sir Gabriel claimed her to be. Most people go about their business when the giantess arrives and walks through town, though several will stop and stare at her since her size is very unique.

Both Ashley and Sir Gabriel can see that the road in town is busy, people going in and out of various shops as they are shopping for their families and loved ones. Of course, this level of activity in town is normal since Christmas is only several days away. Ashley can't help but smile at this sight, knowing that soon enough she will be doing some Christmas shopping of her own.

Both she and Sir Gabriel had both agreed to forego exchanging gifts this year. Things have become tight financially for the married couple. It isn't due to lack of work, but rather the price of food going up as the winter months approached. With crops harvested and nothing growing in the dead of winter, procuring enough food for a fifty-one-foot tall woman is both difficult and pricey. Even Ashley's family could only help out so much. But the pair can manage, ensuring that they can live as comfortably as possible.

As Ashley approaches the town, she stops right at the edge of it. Sure she can continue walking, but there is one thing that she needs to do first. She begins to crouch down as she is lowering Sir Gabriel to the ground. She is hesitant to lower the knight, she does love holding him and she knows that the knight enjoys it very much, but this is being done out of necessity. First, Sir Gabriel should walk in front of her whenever she enters a populated area; a woman of her stature does need plenty of room, and her feet, due to their massive size, can pose a hazard to anyone who isn't paying attention. So Sir Gabriel walks in from of the giant woman to ensure that her path is clear to help avoid any accidents.

Second, she is intent on purchasing something for him for Christmas. She very well can't do such a thing when he is with her, it would ruin the surprise. Though, she could always claim that she is buying the gift for someone else. An excuse like that really wouldn't work though, Sir Gabriel isn't gullible in the least bit. So going her separate way is the best option; she just needs the perfect excuse.

No longer in Ashley's loving embrace, the knight can now feel just how cold it is. He shivers slightly as his body is adjusting to the cold temperature, wishing that he could remain in the giant woman's arms. When Sir Gabriel sets foot on the snow-covered road, he turns back to face his wife. "Ashley," he calls up to her, "I just remembered that there is a special job I need to perform and it will take me some time to complete. Why don't you walk through the town while I take care of it?"

Ashley gives her husband a dumbfounded look, unable to believe her luck. Sir Gabriel has just provided her with the very reason that she needs to walk through Vershire on her own. "Yeah, sure thing," Ashley says with a big smile on her face. She can't help but feel excited, being able to purchase a gift for her husband, his first Christmas gift from her.

Sir Gabriel leans his head into Ashley's finger, giving a gentle and loving kiss right on the tip. "I love you."

"I love you too," Ashley replies, running her finger along the side of the knight's face.

Sir Gabriel turns around, ready to head towards his destination, but he is stopped when he feels something touching him in the back of his head. He turns around to see just what is touching the back of his head, only to see a toe, a toe that is larger than his head, just inches away from his face. He isn't surprised, Ashley has become a lot more playful with her feet over the time that he has been with her, and looking up he can see the smile on her face as if she is expecting something. Ashley doesn't need to say a single word, the knight knowing exactly what she wants. "Yes, you have the prettiest feet I have ever seen." Sir Gabriel follows this statement with a single kiss right on her toe, knowing how important this gesture is to his wife.
