thank you so, so much for over 100 reads! i can't wait to continue this story for you guys. <3

(two weeks ago.)

it was the day after thanksgiving. clay had come rushing in my room, bouncing around with a huge goofy smile spread across his face, i knew he was excited about something. i laughed and sat up, setting down my phone giving him full attention.

he plopped down next to me on my bed, still bouncing. "GUESS WHAT?" he poked me, his voice raised with excitement. i just laughed in response. "GEORGE AND NICK!" he screeched. i think i already had an idea of what he was about to say. george, nick, and clay had been planning to meet up for the longest time. what better time than after thanksgiving/before christmas to do so. my smiled widened in response.

"THEY'VE BOUGHT FLIGHTS A FEW DAYS AGO AS A SURPRISE," he went on, his voice still high pitched, "they told me today, they're coming in two weeks!!" he laughed loudly, with a cheer.

i hadn't known them very well, except for playing with them a few times, texting them occasionally about some sort of clay-related thing like 'what's his favorite food' or something of the sort. i knew he trusted these boys with his life, so i supposed i would get along with them as well.

(time skip, two weeks later.)

now, i sat waiting in the car for clay. we were about to head to the airport, so i headed to his car while he grabbed a few things, telling me he'd meet me out there. i sat with my hair thrown up in a bun, leggings and a huge crew neck sweater. my skin was pretty clear, so i felt that i looked nice despite my outfit and hair. it didn't matter to me though, i knew the boys would be wearing their "airport outfits" like sweats or something, so i had to match the same sort of outfit-energy.

clay appeared around the corner, carrying his keys, a bag of chips, and his phone in his arms. he threw the bag of chips in the backseat, and got in. he started his car and looked at me with the biggest, warmest smile ever. "i'm so excited." he sighed, and turned back to the wheel, pulling out onto the street. i laughed and sat back in my seat, "i know you are, i am too."

i sighed, staring out the window as he drove. he let me play my playlist since he knew that when the guys got here, i'd never get the chance to. clay seemed to enjoy my music taste too, occasionally singing with me as the up-beat songs played. finally, we reached the more calmed down songs and i just chilled with my head rested on the seat. the warm sun shone down on my face, making my eyes heavy, causing me to get drowsy.

before i knew it, i was asleep, and we had arrived. clay reached over and shook my shoulder gently, "sorry to wake you, but WE ARE HERE!" he exclaimed excitedly. i rubbed my eyes, grabbing my phone and stepping out of the car with a stretch. the airport was huge, loud planes landing and leaving. we walked side by side through the wide doors, and took a seat by the gates the guy's should be arriving through. george and nick had already met each other today before clay, since they had to both meet at a different airport together, and got to fly on the same plane to florida.

i fiddled with my fingers nervously; i had never met them in person, and neither has clay. he was so much closer with them, and i don't think they knew what i looked like unless clay sent pictures of me to them. clay leaped up next to me, and i stood up as well; he was staring wildly at the stairs. there they were. nick and george arrived, and before i knew it they were all charging at eachother at once, meeting in one big hug. i laughed and snapped a picture of them. as they broke from their hug, nick and george noticed me, smiling brightly. "y/n it's you! the woman that stole clay from us!" they laughed in a greeting and i nodded. "yup that's me, and you aint getting him back." i joked. we all walked together, grabbing their bags and then heading to the car.

i sat in the back seat with george because nick yelped shotgun before anyone else could get the chance. but that means we could sneakily eat all the chips. clay noticed we weren't sharing with nick and rolled his eyes in the rear-view mirror.

we got back to the apartments, and everyone hustled inside excitedly. "I'LL ORDER THE PIZZA!" clay hollered, going straight to the phone. i offered up my room for george, nick staying in the spare room, and i sleeping on the couch. i browsed through channels on the tv as nick and george huddled together, muttering things to clay and giggling. i snorted and glanced over at them, "hey when you guys are finished gossiping, how about you come over here and help pick out a movie for movie night!?" i yelled, pulling my feet to my chest on the couch. they all came running, nick bouncing onto the separate couch/chair and clay and george hopping down either side of me.

all of them argued between watching finding nemo or goosebumps, so i sneakily just put on a horror movie. the doorbell rang, clay got up and grabbed the pizza as well as a few blankets, tossing one at george, one at clay, and one at me. i glanced at him questioningly, wondering why he didn't want one for himself. he shrugged, "i don't need one." and grabbed a piece of pizza, flicking on the movie.

we were halfway through, just nearing the scariest parts, so i got up to grab a water. i hated horror movies, but at the same time i loved the thrill. it was a love-hate relationship. i came back and sat down, but my blanket was gone. i stared at clay, and he sat there with an innocent smile. "dude, give it." i punched him, "AYE but i'm cold.." he murmured, giving me fake puppy dog eyes. "fine have it, i'm not cold anyways." i lied, but turned back to the movie.

a jump scare popped up on the screen, causing me to scream in terror and grab on to the nearest object, clay. he just laughed at me teasingly, "poor y/n is this scary for you?" i rolled my eyes at him, but still clenched onto his arm. a few minutes more of the movie passed, getting scarier and scarier, making me tenser and tenser. i huddled closer to clay, my eyes widened at the screen. he could tell i was freaked out, "hey we can turn it off if you-" he cut off as i shushed him, swatting him in the arm. though it was terrifying, horror movies always had me so interested. i flinched a few times, huddling as close to clay as i could, occasionally jerking my head away from the screen as something new popped up. he took that as enough to wrap his blanket over me. i felt safe and secure right there. very warm, and despite the movie, a new calmness fell over me, almost making me sleepy.

i dozed off for what i thought was only a few minutes, but by the time i opened my eyes again, the movie had ended. the credits rolling on the screen, the boys were laughing and chattering on about the movie, clay's arm still wrapped tightly around me. i yawned, standing up. "hey i'm tired, i'm gonna go put on pajamas and grab my pillow."  i new, chilly wave washed over me as i had pulled myself away from the comfort of clay's arms. i shook it off and headed to my room. i could hear them all giggling about something, hearing flustered argues coming from clay as i left the room.

i slipped on sweats and a tanktop, dragging myself back into the room. george was up, grabbing snacks from the fridge, joining an argument clay and nick were having in the living room about pizza toppings. clay still sat at the edge of the couch, with my blanket, so i decided not to bother him, and just plop down at the other end of it. i immediately dozed off to the sounds of them talking, i was really tired.

eventually, i was slightly woken by the talking coming to the stop, hearing the boys head to their rooms. my eyes were too heavy to open, but i noticed the lights getting shut off. i felt a blanket get placed lightly over me, pulling it up over my shoulders. i said a silent thanks, and fell fast asleep.
